Halfling caster???? [Archive] - Wizards Community

05-16-06, 01:07 PM Well we are going to sit down and start a new campaign and that means it is time to thinkon character again. I was thinking of making a bard halfling for thiis one. I really have been in the moode for the little people lately. I want a character who could live through a battle with out hiding but was not a front line fighter type. I also wanted some arcane magic to fool around with. I have also be thinking of some of the new classes from PH2 like the Duskblade or the begiuler, and maybe even a sorcerer with a good prestige class. So far the party looks like a we have a githyanke Psionic warrior, a half troll fighter, and a halfing ranger. There will be a few changes no dought but for now we have no real casters. I thought being the aracne would be fun for a change.

What I need help on is a good perstige class idea for a halfling caster to go into. And maybe an idea for a feat or two that would help out the character.

05-16-06, 02:38 PM I think you should go Rogue/Wizard.
Monopolize on your sneak attacks with some weak rays, and you're sure to get some credit.

you drop a couple of levels of casting, but the benefits are pretty nice.

arcane trickster is another nice route for halflings. (ok. just about any wizard willing to drop 3 levels of spell progression ;) )
