So, you're a Talentan Halfling (Eberron). You grew up on the great plains of Talenta, riding dinosaurs, dreaming of becoming a tracker or warrior, living the free life of the nomadic tribes. Then your Dragonmark manifested at 15. Mere days later the great house of Healing shows up and offers to take you away. It sounds exciting. Everyone has heard of the great houses, and the power and influence they wield. It sounds like a chance to see the world beyond the boarders of Talenta, without the worry of traveling papers and expenses. You agree. Two years later you're bored out of your mind. Your free spirit and chaotic nature has proven a poor match to the positions of management the House keeps trying to put you in. Furthermore, you spend your days bandaging wounds and setting limbs, it's tedious and mind numbing. Furthermore it seems injustice to you that you are rarely allowed to employ the mystical power of your Mark of Healing, even when there are people in need, for few people in the tiny towns you are assigned to can afford the high price for such services. As a result of this you've been moved around from assignment to assignment, town to town, none of them of any interest to you. The only constant in your life are the sick and injured, and a female halfling the House is trying to hook you up with in the hopes of producing more Dragonmarked children. Finally the last straw comes. Your next assignment is supposed to be Dagoon. The nation of the goblinoids. You're supposed to be spending up to a year in that savage nation, providing healing to the smelly orcs that you used to defend your homeland from and probably think you'd be better off in a stew. You've had enough. In three days the Lightning Rail is supposed to take you to your next assignment, but you don't plan on being on it. You've got some money saved up for supplies, and a fresh set of traveling papers. It's time to join the ranks of the adventures you've been patching up for the last year. The train's going to leave, and you're going to be long gone. ----- So! There's my character concept for a CG Talentan Halfling Ranger for a campaign Im joining. Thoughts? Opinions? I need to flesh out his personality a bit and I need a name.
