Inspired by another post I just thought I would flesh the idea out.

Gorthump Farfetcher was never the smartest member of the family but he was loved none the less. Nor was he considered attractive by the members of the village either, he was however stronger by far than any one else but that is what tends to happen when a hill giant child is adopted by a good natured halfling family.

The adoption was not intentional but when Gorthump birth mother was passing the village one night and got distracted by something that was fast moving but delicious smelling, (to a hill giant any way) the poor child was dropped on his head infront of the Farfetcher household. Not that the fall injured him in any way, if anything it soothed the child into a peacefull sleep. As it turns out this event was fortuitous for poor big little Gorthump as his mother was renown among her kin for her beuaty (remember, Hill Giants) and not for the fact she was constantly losing her children.

Gorthump started the size of his new parents and quickly grew so large that an enormous tent had to be built to accomadate him which was a struggle enough for the industrious family let alone feeding his voracious appetite and then changing him in the hours that followed. Despite this the Farfetcher fields began to produce the largest crops the village had seen that season.

As he grew Gorthump became a passable farmer under the gentle guidance of his father who would ride his shoulders as Gorthump would plow the fields in a day that used to take a week. It did not take long for the rest of the community to catch on and the Farfetcher family began to live more comfortably than they had since taking on their youngest son.

With thier wealth growing to giant sized proportions thier little farming village came to the attention of a bandit lord who decided to take what was rightfully not his. With a pair of ogres hired on he and his men went to sack the village. Not so stupid as he looked the bandit lord waited until Gorethump had gone to a nearby farm to attack. Unfortunately this was the day that Gorthump had forgotten his favourite plowing hat, a halfling sized tent.

Gorthump made it back to town to see the bandits laying waste to his home and his father trying to hold off an ogre. Crying out in fright he saw is father take a blow from the ogre's club and fall to the ground. Fearing his father was dead he flew into a grief stricken rage and began hurling everything within reach at the bandits. Rocks, barrows, fences, mellons, unconcious bandits and siblings seemed to leap into his hands as a hail of missiles began to rain down on the bandits.

In his blind rage Gorthump had begun to throw the villagers at the bandits. Thankfully the villagers were as nimble and swift as Gorthump was large and strong and used thier momentum and the suprise of the bandits to thier advantage. In a matter of moments the bandits were defeated and Gorthump was cradling the unconcious form of his father who came to conciousness long enough to see the victory and pat his son on his large nose (it was as far as he could reach) and say 'thats my boy' before slipping under once more.

Fargon Farfetcher, one of Gorthump's brothers and one who had been hurled came up with an idea that was more than little crazy. Having been obsessed by travelling acrobats for as long as he could remember Fargon went to Gorthump with a plan. One long length of silk rope, a padded helmet, a modified brightly coloured cape and many hours of bruising practice later Fargon and Gorthump were ready to take the realms by storm.

Standing in a harness on Gorthumps back until the throw Fargon readies his weapons before being hurled at the target, adjusting his flight with the cape to ensure that no dodging will avail the intended bad guy / target. The rope makes for a whip cracking quick retrieval ready for the next stupifying throw. Be it shows infront of adoring crowds or defending the less fortunate Gorthump and Fargon are ready to dazzle with thier combined skills, ready for anything, but is the realm ready for them?
