Here is my character background so far: First off what do you think? Second,
I'm not quite happy with the way her early childhood went, why her mother and father split but i do like her father raising her. Also, the later history before she meet the group is kinda up in the air, I'm trying to show a wandering, solitary nature. Traveling around seeing what life has to offer and enjoying every minute of it. ps being that she's half dryad i'm not sure how to handle that, any input on it would be appreciated.

Narissa Ile ("eelie") Bayless
First off she's a Ne Druid/Bard (leaning toward Rogue or rogue skills) of mixed heritage (drow, dryad and human).
She's is the daughter of a bandit lord of drow heritage and an unamed Dryad. She was taken from her mother soon after her fifth summer and while growing up was constantly found outside. She was from an early age seeking a connection with the nature her mother was a part of. As the youngest daughter of Jack Ile, she was adored by her father and treated to all the best. But her two elder half brothers made her the victims of all their pranks and tormented her endlessly while her father was raiding. She soon learned to use emotional blackmail with her father to defend her from her half brothers.
When she was about twelve summers her father's bandits captured a scout. The poor ranger was roughly interogated, then killed. She briefly talked to him but learned many more things from the thugs who captured him. She eventually tired of her father's life and asked that she be sent to a local farming village. Her father loved his daughter and knew she wasn't cut out for the life that he lead. So he sent her to local college in a nearby city. Her first liberation was of a dagger etched with her father's symbol and a ring her mother had worn. While she was a gifted student, her heart wasn't into learning, but her connection with nature (and thus her mother) deepened upon the lush college grounds. She soon left the college after her majority and has wandered ever since. She later joined up with a scounting company, but was evicted as bad luck after the troop was nearly decimated in an ambush. She then wandered some more til she joined a group of traveling preformers and was employed as a scout and preformer. The band was a local rover group and through them she made many contacts throughout the shirelands. Narrissa was eventually caught "liberating" funds from noble benefactors of the band, and again took to the road to find her fortunes. On the road she was captured by slavers and sold to a Minoan mage who belived her nature and heritage had mystical posibilities. She later escaped with the help of a fellow captive but died under the waves of the inner sea. Her companion, Cole retrieved her body, but precious little else, and managed to find a temple to raise her spirit. Her visit to the other realm has deepened her connection to nature and given her a peace that is at odds with her wanderlust. She learned recently that her father was hastened to the other realm by a rival bandit lord and ever since has searched for her mother, the last remaining link to her family and her past.

Thanks

Well... cut out the circus.

I simply can't take a character serious if the word 'circus' is mentioned during the background.

I'd like something more about the brothers or how she used her father to protect her from them (they only did it while he was away to begin with).

I'd say she was a bard, perhaps leaning a bit much on rogue
