My DM said that he hated that they stripped off Soulknife with powers and we're trying to build up a variant class.
What psionic power should a Soulknife have.
Sidenote:
We're remaking the shape mindblade ability so it allows any proficient weapon also, we're redoing the option of mindblade progression so it will probably be a little bit more than just a regular weapon you can buy.

I'm not looking for min/maxing.
I would like to hear what do you think a versatile fighter should be able to manifest on the battlefield, and also in normal everyday life/NPC communication.
Creating an aura that everybody senses but can't quite point out (being armed but barehanded)

You can take powers from any list within Complete Psionics and Expanded Psionic Handbook

01-22-07, 01:52 AM I'd put this in the psionics forum, as this forum is intended for help fleshing out characters in terms of description, backstory, personality, etc.

It's not like you can just tack manifesting onto the soulknife (though 1/3 psywar manifestation might do the trick). One fix I've seen is giving them full BAB. Another one is making the soulknife a feat chain, thus allowing psychic warriors to be soulknives.

You can also just use the call weaponry power to cover the flavor of having the weapon on hand at all times.

01-22-07, 06:32 PM I'd put it also, but I think they're fed up with soulknives. Also I had thought to get some help on this developing forum for flavorful powers. Someone who ain't gonna go min/max on me. But try to go through the powers and pick most useful for a list (something like psywars list).
This variant will have something like 1/3rd of power progression of psywar so it isn't somethink the soulknife has to concentrate on. But the list should be done so it cover a little offense, little defence, and a little of useful everyday powers.

Also I've read all the fixes I could find but they don't really take on what I want from this class.
Also this variant should have a better flavor mixture so I'll need some help on that.
I'll post the variant tomorrow so if you can please answer.
