I'm trying to decide what to make for with my Group and I can't seem to find anything that is really catching my attention.

The party so far is:

Healer 9/Cleric1/Radiant Servant of Pelor 1
Ninja 11
Thief 11
Soulblade 9
Dread Necromancer 10

I was considering a Wyrmling Silver Dragon from the Draconomicon, and my DM has Said it's OK and that he'll even introduce a weird aging disorder if I want so that we can deal with the time elapse for levels in the system.

If I play the Wyrmling I'll be hatching infront of the Group, but what sort of history should I come up with? Should I come up with why my egg was where it was? or should I just leave it. I plan on having him a conesour (sp??) of Beauty so much so that he'll give up major magic Items in order to have a really beautiful (non-magical) ring or necklace.

I'd appreciate any thoughts on how to play a silver Dragon? And do I need more of a history?

Thanks for all the help.

How would your character know how your egg got there? If your character doesn't know, I find it's more fun to leave it to the DM to make up. Then it's a mystery for you, which is half the fun of being a Player.

Yeah, how would you know where you came from before you were born? Let the DM and the other PCs craft out your story for you. Then you can apply that knowledge to your own desires. Perhaps you would want to find your parents or what not. I guess I am not really familiar with dragon patriach. You'd be lawful good I can tell you that. Do some research in the Draconomicon, I think that would help a bit.

Agreed!

As for personality, they're Lawful Good and are described, if I recall, as having a personality like that of a Paladin.

There are of course several ways to play a Paladin's personality, but the classic one is the iconic do-gooder, such as Superman or Tramsformers' Optimus Prime. (Prime's main scene in Transformers: the Movie has always stuck with me as a great example of selfless heroism, if you'd like a role model for your dragon.)
