I need some help fleshing out my character's backstory. (as the title implies) I'm not that good at this, so I'm asking for your guys’ help. (pardon my non-gender-inclusive language) (As well as my gratuitous use of parentheses)
Well, I'm going to try to give you as much information as possible.

Here goes:

Ki-Esha is a 2nd level Monk. Her physical description is as follows:
Ki-Esha is female, of medium height. She is fairly slim, and has rather pale skin, as if she has not spent much time outdoors. Her eyes are light green, and have a quite piercing intensity. Her hair is brown and stomach length, and does this cool twirly thing when she is fighting. She speaks in a low, focused voice in times of urgency, but is much lighter hearted when the setting is less serious. She wears a long, brown, somewhat jedi-ish robe over her Monk's Outfit.

She is Lawful Good.

She worships Pelor.

Our campaign is set in the default D&D world, and the storyline is as follows:

Other Characters' PoV: You are in a large city, (I forgot the name) when you notice the sign, advertising that the local Baron, ruler of the city, is seeking adventurers for a highly dangerous, but well-paid, mission. Intrigued, you set off for the Baron's palace, where you met 4 other adventurers. (The 5 people in the party besides me are a Warforged Paladin, a multiclass Male Human Wizard/Fighter, a Male Sorcerer, a Male Halfling Druid with a Riding Dog animal companion, (DMPC) and a Female Human Ninja. (custom class) The group of 5 are told their task: To transport a valuable artifact to a sage for examination. The Baron brings up the artifact; It looks like an enormous egg, the size of a VW Beetle. He then brings up a crate even larger then the one containing the egg, and opens it to reveal mounds of gold, treasure beyond your imagination. "This," he says, "Will be your reward when you complete the task." "You leave tomorrow morning. I have booked you an inn to stay the night."

As the 5 adventurers are heading to their lodgings, they are accosted by a shadowy figure in a back alley. He informs them that the artifact they carry could be very valuable to certain parties, and his affiliates would gladly pay double the baron's reward if the party would surrender the artifact to them. The party whole-heartedly disagrees, sensing foul-play, and the figure bounds off into the night, hissing that they have chosen their fate. As the party continues on, they meet my character, who asks them if they had been accosted by a dark figure. They tell what happened, and my character warns them that the artifact they transport is far more important then the Baron realizes, and that it must be kept from the wrong owners. She then says that she will join them to help protect the artifact.

The next morning, they are woken by a soldier, who says that he has been instructed to see them off. They leave the inn, and a little while later the soldier says he has something he must see to, but will meet up with them later. Sure enough, he meets up with them a little while later and offers them an alertness potion for the road. The party, suspicious, examines the potion and discovers that it is poisoned. The party attempts to grab the soldier, but he disappears in a puff of smoke through which a red scaled tail is barely visible. They continue to the caravan, where they see the real soldier, waiting for them. "What took you so long?" he asks.

That is essentially where we are right now.

My Character's PoV: My character knows that the "Egg" is, in fact, a Tarrusque Egg, and as such is one of the most important objects in existence. If it was captured by the forces of evil, it could wreak untold havoc, or even be trained into one of the most destructive weapons in existence. She also knows that the celestial forces are prepared to contest over this object, but that taking direct action would be suicide, because it would alert the mortal kingdoms to its importance, which would greatly complicate matters. In essence, one of the most important artifacts in existence has come into the hands of this misfit bunch of adventurers.

With current events taken care of, here are some "High-Points" I want to appear in my backstory:

My character is taken from home and trained by the order of the Psionic Fist, (It's a prestige class that I'm going to take later, and I already have Wild Talent as a feat. The class description is here (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/psionic/prestigeClasses/psionicFist.htm) ) and, being recognized as one of great talent is sent to accompany and guide the group in protecting the egg.

During my training, my home village is destroyed by an evil Lich, and I, stricken with grief from the loss of my parents and family, foolishly confront the Lich. Of course, he easily defeats and humiliates me, but I vow to kill him when I am powerful enough.

Whew! That was a lot of writing. Maybe it would have been quicker to write my backstory myself. What I would like is a fleshed out backstory. Feel free to add details and events as you see fit. Thank you to anyone who responds, and sorry for this obscenely long post.

P.S
In case you want to know, my stats are STR 16, DEX 12, CON 13, INT 12, WIS 16, and CHA 10.

(ahem) A:there is nothing wrong with useing a lot of parentheses

B:as for backround, Im gonna go into a monalog, so if you like my idea, great! if not, dang.

Ki-Esha was born in a small hamlet on the outside of a mysterious woods. deep in said woods, a fountan of magic power was discoverd at the exact moment Ki-Esha was born. because of the fountan, more and more people came to try to use it. as the people came, the small hamelet turned into a busiling, large village.
However, becase of the fountans Aura, Ki-Esha's fetus was disorented, and a nearby wizards guild thought that, when hereing the news, she woluld be filled with magic enegy. they took her, and discoverd her young body reformed the magic radiation and turned it into Psicon power, the wizards returned the baby, disapointed. but the order of Psionic Fist was all to eger to train the child in there ways. when she was 7 years of age, a pricticular Psionic fist discoverd that the abilities given by the fountan, was stacked on a already massive potental for psionic ability.

As Ki-Esha trained at a young age, the order got news of the egg, and there only canadate that could possibly to the job was Ki-Esha, if trained properly. So Ki-Esha was trained twice as hard to get her mentaly and Physicly fit for this ordeal.

however, lurking in his study for 12 years, a lich found a way to use the fountans power.
Needing the fountans energy for his goals, sent a horrible plauge of undead to distroy the village in his way. victory was swift. the lich, satisfied with his victory, drank from he fountan, and turned oh so powerful.

After all her training, Ki-Esha, now a young women, hears of the city with the mission by her superionrs. although interested, Ki-Esha wants to see her family again. When she gets there, all there is is a bunch of distroyed village. inraged, she askes the order who did this. they tell her the story. filled with rage and hate, she makes a vow to end the lichs un-life

the lich is now a massive influince in the region, filling it with taint (Taint is found in heros of horror, its basicly just the lingering effect of evil) Ki-Esha is so angery that she dosnt think about stratigy and rushes out to kill the lich. she reches the tower and distroys all undead gaurds in the way untill she gets to the lich. The lich laughs and taunts her with the bodys of her family, as he controls them into attacking her. she couldnt hold back after she was forced to kill her "family". she attacks. Ki-Esha was defeated quite easily. As the lich was about to end her life, he let her go. as she ran away, the lich laughs. Unknown to Ki-Esha, he cast a spying spell on her, so he always knows what she is doing. In this sense, he now knows where the egg is. He can now try to steal the egg, for the best cohort in history.
She then started her travels for the city in question, vowing to kill the lich...

...eventually.

So that was my two cents. I hope you liked it.

Okay Monsko, (is that spelled with a C?) I love your backstory, I might like it more if it was spell-checked, but a great story nonetheless.

Ki-Esha’s Backstory
Original Concept by Monsco of the WotC Forums
Re-Written by Thorguy

Ki-Esha was born in a small hamlet on the outskirts of a mysterious wood. Deep in the said woods, a fountain of magic power was discovered by a huntsman, at the exact moment of Ki-Esha’s birth. People came from far and wide to marvel at the fountain, and the hamlet soon grew into a thriving town. A passing member of The Psionic Fist discovered that the fountain was somehow connected to the child, and that it’s influence on her birth had unlocked great potential in her mind. He takes her away to be trained by the Psionic Fist, at the age of 7.

Ki-Esha was trained all through her childhood, and was taught the martial arts, as well as the secrets on how to open her mind to the abilities which would come with experience and age. Some time later, when Ki-Esha had reached the age of 22, the Order received word of the egg, and knowing of its true importance, they sent Ki-Esha, one of their most promising apprentices, to help protect the caravan. Before setting out, Ki-Esha asked to see her family one last time before setting out on what could one of the most important missions of her future career.

However, shortly before this, an evil Lich realized that the fountain could be perverted into an enormous source of evil power with the proper spells, and started scheming to capture it. He eventually raised an undead army and destroyed the town, including Ki-Esha’s family, and used the fountain to gain untold power.

When Ki-Esha arrives at her home town, all she finds is blackened ruins. She uses her connections in the Order to find out the full story of her family’s murder, and vows to end the Lich’s un-life.

The lich is now a massive influence in the region, tainting the region with his foul necromancy, and Ki-Esha rushes to destroy the Lich. She reaches the Lich’s tower, kills the undead guards, and confronts the Lich. The Lich laughs and taunts her with the bodies of her family, as he controls them into attacking her. As she is forced to destroy her “family”, driven mad with grief, she attacks him in a blind frenzy. He beats her easily, but lets her escape, taunting her as she runs for her life. She goes to join the caravan, vowing to kill the Lich...

...eventually.
