| KingNeo09-29-05, 09:04 PM | Well I have started a new game and I need help making a character. This time I want to make a Changling, a race that I have negleted in the past, and want to use a form of gameplay that I have not used almost at all either. So since I am the apperentice and you people the master I really need your help. So is what I have so far. I know I want to create a Changling that will later become a member of the Cabinet of Faces. So he will be part of esiponige and stealth. I might make him a Mind Spy, wanting my character to become a master of minds, but not bad at fighting either. But beyond that I do not know. So could you give me a class that would help me with this and could you help me with a background. Because I don't think "I want to a stealth spy and can manipulate minds" is enough, and I don't think you do either. So could you be help me? I would be a big help. |

The Passer tries not to be discovered and often struggles to lead a 'normal' life in one facade the whole time, not a good PC backround. The Becomer is the stereotypical deceptive Changling, almost always spending time in several different guises as suits their whim. The Reality Seeker is a bit of an oddball. They spend almost all time in their 'natural' form, and try to figure out their own existence. That said, a Becomer suits your concept best. The great thing about being a Changeling is that you can always be someone different. It's not a bad thing to spend every day in a different identity, or several throughout one day. You probably will want to be chaotic, or law-chaotic neutral. Chaotic Neutral would be great in general. Just look out for yourself, meddle in others' affairs, play elaborate practical jokes, and disrespect any Lawful figures you might encounter. You don't need an elaborate back-story, you could simply be doing this your whole life. Come up with amusing antecdotes constantly, they don't have to be true, just fun. In fact, constant lying would be good hallmark of a good Cabinet Trickster. Take the adage of 'never trust a Changeling' to it's full advantage. The less your companions know about you, the better you're doing your job. |

Makes your lies better, and your ability todeal in social situations better too. Really, if your disguise starts to fall apart because people get suspicious, this invocation could help you out. |

But after reviewing the book I came up with this a interesting storyline. So tell me what you think. Ok so far I know that this Changling will be known as Nan. He would have been adopted by Nymphs, not knowing his real parents. And because of how he was raised he has never had to suffer the hardships and prejudice others have for his race, making him a llttle ignorant of the outside world. But within him is great power. Power said the Dragonic Prophecy, and a gift given by the fey. So he explores to learn more about the world, to learn about the power within him, and learn more about the different planes of existance. He also has a curosity of transformation, which you could almost call an obsession, and seeks to master this art. Nan is a split between a reality seeker and a becomer. He is comfortable being in his natural form, but he likes being in other forms as well. Nan is a Greensinger, with his connection to the fey and all, but to him the fey are not creatures he reveries, but his family. And he will protect his family at all costs. The gift the fey gave him was making him a Beast Incarnate, a class I made which allows you to become a multitude of animals, magical beast, and vermin. And unleash those creatures ultimate potential. I will post more on the Beast Incarnate when I finish posting it on the boards. So what do you think about my storyline so far? |
