So, I finally get to be a player (I usually DM), and I decided I want to be a human warlock. Now, humans are great for their extra feats and all, but I don’t find them that evocative. That’s part of the reason I chose a human, however, was for the challenge of making a dynamic character out of something that could easily be so bland. The fact that he’s a warlock gives me something good to work with right off the bat though, and so I brainstormed a bit.

I came up with some general ideas and I’m wondering if you guys could help me add to this list and or help me flesh out each item on the list, until they all weave together to form a compelling story.

The Characters name is Demetrius (maybe, unless I think of a better one)
Bloody family feud
Stillborn
Succubus
Lost souls
Love Interest named Penelope
Fear of ones own power
Revenge
Ultimate Sacrifice

What else?

One of the ideas I had (but not necessiarly what I will go with) was this:

Father sells soul to a Succubus to bring stillborn son back to life…

Alright.... since you mentioned lost souls and him being brought back from the dead after birth...
Perhaps, for that brief period while he was dead, his childlike soul was contacted by some spirits. Specifically, he was contacted by a group of his own long-dead ancestors. They had some unfulfilled ambition (you could easily tie this in to the blood feud you mentioned) and wanted him to act as their agent in the mortal world. He returns to life, largely unaware of what happened.
As he ages, he sees these dead ancestors - it could be a singleancestor, or a group of them - in his dreams and periodic hallucinations. If you do a group of ancestors, you could get an interesting dynamic by having them somewhat at odds with eachother, regarding how much they care about "the boy" and what exactly they want to accomplish.
Anyways, in these hallucinations, these dead ancestors try to influence him to fulfill their desires. They also gift him with unholy magic with which to do so (perhaps one of them was a powerful magician or warlock, and teaches Demetrius his art).
As you mentioned a love interest, I think you could set up a pretty classic "Romeo and Juliet" scenario. This girl is a member of the family that Demetrius's ancestors want him to exterminate. This, of course, leads him to conflict with between his own love and the influence of his ancestor.
As for the "fear of his powers" bit.... when Demetrius refuses to go along with his dead ancestors' plans of revenge, perhaps one of them attempts to possess him. Perhaps they even utilize his power to wreak some bloodshed. The ghost uses Demetrius to kill several members of this opposing family before Demetrius regains control of his spirit (perhaps the ghost tried to kill Penelope, giving him that extra push to "break free"). Now, his beloved Penelope regards him as a blood enemy for the crime he committed against her family. You seem to be crafting a fairly angsty character, and it seems that his one true love hating him with passion would make for an interesting set up. You also have conflict between Demetrius and his ancestral ghost(s), who probably wouldn't have been getting along too great after the incident.
