Kinda like that Community Character awhile back, only cliché. :P Define one thing per post (you can go into detail on that one thing, though [appearance or personality, for instance.]) One other person must post before you post/add another trait.

Step one: Decide number of party members

Step two: Begin defining a character.

Step three: Keep going until that character's done. Then start step two with another character. Repeat until the thread takes on a cheesy texture. :D

I'll let someone else decide how many characters (don't pick something too large or too small.) I'll still be participating, though, hence the "help me" instead of "go ahead and" in the title. :P

Have fun! ^_^

You need a Paladin that mindlessly follows the teachings of his god and pursues evil at all costs and defends the meek.

I'd say: Wizard(intellectual, calm, collected, etc.), Figher(no-brained basher), Paladin(defender of the weak and slayer of the wicked), Cleric(tends to be a medic if for no other reason than everyone else expects him/her to be one), Rogue(sneaky and probably conflicts with the paladin occasionally, but is incredibly charming and good at heart), and maybe a Bard(comic effect).

That sounds cheesy enough for the general PC good guys.

Paladin: Overzealous and smite evil trigger happy
Rogue: Steals all the loot while everyone else is fighting
Bard: Charming and relatively funny.. screams like a girl when his boots get muddy
Wizard: Intellectual, stands in the corner with his arms crossed acting like a know-it-all.
Fighter: "Me bash good!" *Swings axe around carelessly*
Cleric: Wears a helmet with a large red cross painted on it.

Need a ranger!
Ranger: Emo, cries a lot over his pet cat that died when he was 5.

Erm.. lol just read the whole first post (silly me) Ok to go off the original six:

Sorcerer: Pyromaniac and fanatical worshiper of Kossuth. Equipped with red flowing robes, elaborate enchanted headdress, fingerless gloves, and a very well-practiced evil laugh.

Rogue: Grew up on the streets, scavenging all his life. Looks forward to becoming an assassin or other appropriate evil class.

Fighter: Half-orc, previously apart of his local city's militia, no matter how much the others disliked his smell. However, he was fired as soon as he mistook a child for a goblin. The Guard Captain was distressed to find out that his Guard Armor he lent him came back with an odd brown stain in the back of the pelvic piece. And sadly, it wasn't rust.

Wizard: Tutored under great wizard z in tower x specializing in school y.

Cleric: Father was of same deity faith. She plans to carry on her families tradition. Oh yes, her father was also slain by monstrous creature y, which she now vows to slay on sight.

Paladin: Grew up in Cormyr with ambitions to join the Purple Dragons, however was exiled from the area due to slaying a halfling who he found pickpocketing someone, as well as another halfling that turned up evil on his Detect Evil pee test.

Is this what you meant, like a slightly clique background? Tried making it as clique as possible :P

Don't forget the fighter's hometown was destroyed when he was off training... or was that the paladin's story? :P

I kinda meant develop the characters one at a time, but hey, this works. lol!

Carry on!

No, you also have to remember that everyone is the son of an ultra powerful CR 30 prince. Who died. He was killed. By the main villain. Ya, he could have also killed them, as they were babies, but he thought, 'eh'.

Also, they all have a destiny. Each an every one of them. Something about slaying the main villain.

And it doesn't matter their alignment or ability scores, each NPC must bow in reverence to the mighty warriors, who will all spend half an hour trying to think of some heroic comeback to the blacksmith asking if they want a fresh coat of polish on their armor. "Uh, um, ok, wait, uh, OH! I GOT ONE! OK, Urgoth Flame-Blade says 'I already am the light that shines in the dark'. Yeah, thats soooo cool..."

"My character says nothing, his armor just shines perpetually."

"I attack the blacksmith."

You would need a female elf, ranger or druid. Some who will want to save any furry and/or cuty creature they meet, even it said creature has 2 feet long fangs with an acidic saliva...
You also need a stubborn dwarf, probably a LG dwarven cleric, who will always complain against anyone, especially if it's elven, and love all furry and/or cuty creature with 2 feet long fangs and acidic saliva...
You need a gnome who loves making fart noses with his Ghost Sound spell, especially coming from the paladin general location...

Some examples come into mind....

Human Paladin: He thinks he is the leader and bosses around the rest of the group. He only trusts his mount who has a creepy nickname like “Leg eater”. He has long conversations with his mount about how rot the world is now a days all through the mount never answers back. Kills everyone he sense as evil without giving any explanation other than “He was evil”. Distrust the party and casts detect evil on them every 3 minutes. Always insists in stopping by the local town to force the whole party to do “community service” kind of good deeds. Forces the party to give away all the treasure they find to charity. Thinks that all other religions are wrong and his god is the most righteous one of all and will battle to death anyone who says otherwise.

Dwarf Fighter: Always drunk or drinking something. Always looking for excuses to start a fight and challenges people to fights over anything it doesn’t matter how absurd is the reason. He is always bragging about how dwarfs are better than everyone in everything and will challenge to a fight anyone who says otherwise. Is always telling stories about this mother land and his five hundred cousins. Has a ridiculous long red beard and some sort of Irish accent. Has some sort of crazy dwarf battle cry. Has trouble controlling the volume of his voice and ends up always yelling.

Half-Orc Barbarian: Really big and really stupid. Hardly ever says anything that is even near coherent. Carries with him a huge axe o more that he calls by a stupid name like “George”. Hears voices in his head that tell him to kill. Its absolutely ruthless in battle but innocent like a child the rest of the time. Has some sort of mouse pet who he talks all the time and plays with. The mouse often gets lost and the orc always runs in all sorts of trouble while looking for it. Collects parts of the enemies he killed in battle and makes necklaces and other stuff out of them. Burps and farts a lot.

Female Elf Druid: Everyone in the party has the hots for her although no one openly admits it and she doesn’t notices. It is a completely hippie tree hugging elf always trying to make the rest of the group conscious about whatever harms the mother earth. Gets super mad when someone on the group burns a tree or steps on an ant. Has some sort of medium power in which the “spirits of the earth” speak through her. She is always by the influence of drugs or smoking some sort of plant. Always tries to make everyone to get along just fine and gets really upset if they don’t listen to her and then starts crying. Starts crying when ever sees a fallen tree or something. Gets nostalgic and cries a lot over her home forest that was burned by some irresponsible adventurers who didn’t put off their camp fire. Always is talking about the natural order of things and every now and then drops discovery channel sorts of facts about the local wildlife.

Human/Elf Male Wizard: Extremely weak and extremely intelligent. Gets bother every 2 seconds by some member of the group getting asked stupid questions which gets him really annoyed. Gets bother every time the group gets stuck in a task and gets asked to cast some sort of spell to fix the problem. The group never listens to him and constantly ignores him expect when asking for stupid questions or for spells witch gets him super frustrated making him mutter all the time curses about how everyone else but him are idiotic morons and he is always is right but no one ever listens. Eventually get hyper mad and crys out loud how stupid the rest of the group is but they keep ignoring him so he starts throwing fireballs and burning random stuff all around him to get some attention. Is extremely greedy and power-hungry. Commits acts of questionable morale. When speaking to other people treats them as if they where inferior to him. Its extremely ironic and makes sarcastic remarks all the time. Refuses to cast spells for others saying that is a terrible waste of his arcane power and lectures them about it.

Halfling/Human Rogue: Totally happy-go-lucky sort of guy. Natural kleptomaniac getting all sorts of shiny things into his pockets and conveniently forgetting how they got there in the first place. Has some sort of rough past that force him into a life of delinquency. Its extremely cute like a baby or super charismatic manageimg to get off the hook form all sorts of situations. He can´t distinguish right form wrong. He jumps out of his hiding place screaming “SEANK ATTACK!!!”. Always trying to get the best deal out of things. Always knows "a guy" to do the shady work. They get them into jail and he escapes in 2 minutes, then they lock him up again and he escapes 2 minutes later. Always has someone chasseing him around. Extremely greedy always rips off the group and charges them to do mundane task like carrying a bag or whatever. Crosses the party but then double crosses the bad guys to redeem himself. Always gets on all sort of trouble for stealing everything he can get his hands on. When in a dungeon the party always force him to go first to look out for tramps. Enjoys playing pranks on other party members. Tells everyone to relax and not to take things so serious. Horrible gamler and terrible ladies man. Thugs show up form nowhere to break his legs.

Dwarf Fighter, Elf Wizard, Halfling Rogue and a Human Cleric of Pelor. If I need to tell you why its cliche you are not a DnD player.

The one thing people are forgetting is that when the Dwarf goes out into the world he always takes his armor and 15 axes with him. And when I say armor I mean it's a pile of metal with a beard sticking out of it holding a weapon and more metal (shield).

I'll take your word for it, but that concept isn't limited to there by any stretch of the imagination.
