When this happens, Neroc's form of mourning is to take their remains and use it in the creation of a magical weapon. So far two such weapons have been made: 1) The Vengence of the Water Children. A crytalline trident retreived from the depths of the sea. During the sea voyage the sailors of the ship were systematically murdered by summoned demons and devils. The trident was anointed in their blood and enchanted. 2) The Blade of Nameless Hate. During a stopover in a city in the mountains, several warriors were assasinated by ninja pyrokineticists. The people of this land are very much into honorable combat and noble death. Being burned to death by a sneak attack, the poor guards are condemned to a nameless death. Neroc took their ashes, encased them in amber, and built a dagger around it. The dagger is currently +1 frost (to oppose the fire that killed them) As Neroc grows in power, I intend to have these weapons grow as well. What would be good theme powers to add to them? |

Maybe the souls of the victims desire vengence, or simply want to help the one that honored them; either way, they aid you by transferring to you the lifeforce that you take from others. The Dismisser enchantment might make even more sense: giving the weapon a chance to dismiss summoned creatures with every hit seems appropriate, given the nature of the victims' deaths. "The Blade of Nameless Hate" immediately brings the Vicious enhancement to my mind simply because of the sound of the name. The Valorous enchantment might also work, reflecting the desire of the nameless dead to find the glory that they were denied. The Last Resort enchantment sounds like something that might fit thematically, though the mechanical effect fits less well. |
