Young sun elf adventurer goes into the underdark. Gets beaten and taken as a prisioner by drow. Years go by with him imprisioned and being used for wierd experiments involving magiks.

The drow city he was being imprisioned in is destroyed by a high level adveturer party doing their thing. He almost dies in a cave in during the destruction. He now finds himself alone in the underdark living in the ruins of a drow city.

Time goes by until he finally manages to emerge from the underdark. His imprisionment & the experiments done on him have changed him greatly though. He finds that the surface has no place for a scarred stone elf like him anymore. He retreats into the underdark again.

During his retreat he finds a chaos nexus and almost dies consumed by it. As he was about to perish in it, an aspect of Sardior appears in front of him and offers him to be reborn as one of his children, giving him the chance at a new life for all the suffering he has undergone.

He accepts and embraces his reborn in a complete way, leaving behind what he already knew and embracing the discipline of the mind Sardior represents. He does keep however, mementos of his past life. For his first years of life, his draconic shape still retains some elven traits. To remember his trials at the hands of the drow he retains the stony exterior he was forced to take. And from his reborn, he keeps alive the connection between him and that chaotic nexus that was the start of his new life.

Three decades later, Saelir can be found roaming the underdark and the moonshaes alike, having finally healed all of his scars though his devotion to Sardior and his teachings. However, when not underground he always uses a glammer to keep away any gossip, taking the shape of a somewhat bulky half-elf named Naurn.

Grudge Keeper: Saelir's harsh life has taught him that no offence can go unpunished inmediately, for you may not have a chance to do so later. If he is damaged in combat, he suffers a -2 penalty on attacks rolls, skill checks, saving throws, and ability checks until he damages the foe who caused him harm. This penalty does not apply if you cannot discern the source of the damage. This penalty disappears when the combat ends.

Light Sensitivity: Many years spent living in the underdark have granted Saelir with the ability to see in the darkness, however his eyes have grown unused to the brightness of the sun. He becomes dazzled in bright sunlight or within the radius of a daylight spell. A dazzled creature takes a -1 penalty on attack rolls, Search checks, and Spot checks.

Its still a very rough draft, but before actually getting the thing into normal english I'd like to hear more ideas of what else can I get ito it or what do you guys think of the story as a whole.

If anyone as names, locations & facts that I could add to it, that would be great. The World is obviously Toril.

Thanks!

I don't know what is an Anarchic Initiate, a Dragonborn and a "Stone Sun Elf", although I suspect the later is an elf with the Mineral Warrior template...

The part where the drow city is destroyed by high level adventurers is a bit odd. Why didn't they help him? If they're able to defeat a drow city, they should have the means to search survivor and help former slaves... And why was he the lone survivor? Rather, he could have been bought by a lone crazy drow wizard, whom tower was blown up by accident or by another drow wizard or by anything else. So Sardior took the opportunity to flee.

He eventually made his way to the surface world. After a time, he realised he missed the drow way of live, he now loathed sunshine, trees, love, etc. While still hating the drows, he realised he was now closer to them than he thought, and that was not as bad... (He somewhat developped a Stockholm Syndrom...)

Anarchic initiate is a PrC from Complete Psionics. and on the second, yes, you're right.

Well, high level adventurers usually don't stay weeks searching through the debris looking for a hostage they never knew about, and the lone survivor thing was supposed to be what he thought, not a fact. I'll check that.

Now, your idea for his escape sounds quite interesting, so I guess I'll try that angle instead.

Exactly.
