A couple of questions-

-what are the attributes 'Sag' and 'Car'?
-what race is your character? 52 seems a little old for a human to be starting out.
-whats a NERD hero? So we can avoid it.

Peace

a NERD hero is someone like the tipical guy of film like "american pie" XD...a guy with serios problem in relationship because it's too shy

if it could be of any help

i'm playing in greyhawk...in a company of N-NG....
and my druid is gonna take some levels of mage, because it's a summoner (then mystic theurge and taumathurgist)

Ways to be disliked... in context.

1 - Ramble about father's glory, suggest that being his son makes you better than everyone else (no one likes arrogance).

2 - Push people away, take little interest in them. Act as if your studies (going to be wizard?) are more important than the people in question.

3 - Treat people like domesticated animals, dismissive.

4 - No social graces. Leer, letch, eat messily. Generally make unpleasant habits.

5 - Tell people to do things as if they cannot think of ideas for themselves. Not intentional... just a habit formed from dealing with summoned creatures.

Can you tell more about his father? What kind of hero he was?
How did he die?
How did the old man become an adventurer? His age is... You said it - he's old.

If you don't want a nerd, you could go for a crazy loony. Drunken wise man with a dog/bear/your animal campanion to take care of him.

tnx for this firsts hints..

the father of my mage/druid was an elf archer ranger who saved grayhawk from a Neogi invasion from the deep of the earth, and slayned a fallen angel and all his diabolic minions who was going to conquer the entire world....after this he marry a beautiful human woman..and had 4 son....he take a home at wintershiven and lived here until the end of his days...

(the mother was a cleric; the 4 son are 3 male and 1 female)

( i like the idea of the drunken hero..XD...and also that of say how and what to to to others without thinking they hava their own brain :P)

Bout the looney hero - check out Rafiki (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rafiki).

Also get the Spell Compendium and check the spell Branch to Branch (1st level druid spell). Basically it gives you a nice +10 Climb bonus and the ability to brachiate. Cast it while in the bear form for extra fun.

And the reason why he became a hero... Maybe his other siblings became adventurers. He thought them stupid. He stayed at home. He became a farmer (a commoner you may say).

Noone returned home, when his mother was sick. He entered the druidic order in order to help here. Noone but he was at her deathbed. That's when he started drinking. His dog (riding dog stats MM) was his only fried and companion. He became gloomy and bitter.

Then... It's your call (=

Just some ideas for background. A bit of advice - never make a loonie character just a loonie. Give him some reason to act that way. Otherwise you might get the boot from the DM. I learned it the hard way (=

yes...but now that i think...be drunken, will give me serious malus to my Wis score..and for a divine caster this will be really bad...also out of combat my best skills, will became useless....

Yeah, I know (= That's bad right?

You are nigh useless when drunk. Some time into the adventure you run out of spirits, become really powerful (no penalty to Wis and Int) and really gloomy.

You get two characters in one (= Also you get the opportunity to ask your DM for an individual flaw - drunkard, which would net you another feat to spend at first level.

Or make a custom magic item, that would allow you to get sober in an instant. But with some sideeffects.

Just be nice to your DM and don't push to much.

I normally don't do this on the CD board, but... Multiclassing is not the way to increase the power of a spellcaster. Especially a summoner. With the right feats, a Druid is already one of the best summoners in the game, with the closest competitors being the Spirit Shaman (who, if designed around summoning, may not be very good at much else, while the druid can occupy almost any party role with no customization at all) and the Conjurer/Master Specialist.

If you are going to multiclass Wizard and Druid, see if you can gain access to the Arcane Heirophant class. Druid 3/Wizard 3/Mystic Theurge 4/Arcane Heirophant 10 is a pretty tidy build. (Save levels 3 and 4 of Mystic Theurge for last; you need the first two to qualify for Arcane Heirophant, but Arcane Heirophant has much better class features that you'll want as soon as possible.)

If you'd prefer to be a Druid/Wizard/Mystic Theurge/Thaumaturgist for story reasons, then disregard the above.

yes but the arcane spells let me buff my evocation pretty well....

..mhhh...a drunken hero...with a bottle that can let me return normal as a swift action giving me a -2 to char for an hour can be balanced?

so in a battle my hero will return normal and became really really angry against his enemy..because they interrupt his fun!.....can be good?

Druids get direct damage spells about on par with Wizard spells a level lower, and a Mystic Theurge will be casting spells a level or two lower than a single-class spellcaster.

But that's the last I'll say on the subject. If you really like the idea of being a dual-threat caster, go for it.

to not continue off-topics and talk about the advancement:
http://forums.gleemax.com/showthread.php?p=13908417#post13908417

so here we can continue to speak about interpretation without the DM must intervent :P

oh..my master have decided to begin the quest directly from lv 20 XD

-2 Char is nothing to you. Ok, let's see...

How about a spell (I say 0 cantrip) that would suppress the alcohol for 1min/lvl but after that you get a hangover as if you drank twice as much. And hangover... Something along -1 attack, saves and skills for each portion of alcohol you drank. You can get rid of the effect via cure poison spell (because besically it's just an intoxication).

You move this cantrip to a magic item. Voila. The magic bottle. You can even put alcohol in it.

You're 52, a druid, and have low charisma? This makes me think of one, and only one, thing.

"Hey, you kids, get offa my lawn!" :Casts something that vaguely sounds like a shotgun blast:

If there is a character option that lets you drop your animal companion it would fit storywise. Sure you can summon a whole bunch of creatures but none of them stay long. You love animals and though they don't ever harm you they don't seem to enjoy your company. And with wizard too go Conjurer and take the Abrupt Jaunt feature, for two reason, you lose the familiar for the above reasons and it allows you to pop out of uncomfortable social settings.

This should keep him fun to play and the consumate NERD hero. It's the druid nobody likes...including animals.

just my 2cp.. have fun
