Help me pls! [Archive] - Wizards Community

09-25-04, 05:28 PM I have a netural Illithid wizard of boccob, but almost no backround for him :weep:
here is what i got:
Was originally a slve trader to oriental yak folk(native to other continent(mm2)) and sent to figure out why illithids were disappearing when sent on slave trading missions. Was captured by the yak folk(they enslave everyone)
and made a slave. was brought up to full maturity by other slaves and was like a "brother" to a yak folk slave. this yakfolk hated slavery of other creatures and thus lead a revolt of the slaves. i was his general(for my supreme int and magical abilities. during war a maho worshiper killed his adpotive father, and we have sworn vengance for his life. we have been traveling for a long time and hats about it.

i would like it if someone could help me make a more indept history for my characte pls!

Why? :confused: I mean what's wrong with a human wizard. Okay... okay...

Firstly, I think you need to ask some specific questions. From you post, it is not clear what you actually want, and simply posting "Write a novel for me" won't help (doubly so if you bump after only a few hours).

The links in my .sig will help... read though the FAQ at least.

And, with all that said, what area do you want exapanding? Are there questions you need to be answered, or do you simply have a word count requirement by your DM?

Try speaking with your DM about it. He or she may be able to help with some background for the campaign, in which case, you can work out how your character fits into it.

Consider your character's history, and how he or she (or it, for an illithid) learnt magic, or how they rose to their particular rank.

Also, try thinking about a "day in the life" of your character. Think about their routine, and work in some quirks and traits.
