First is a plannar game so the whole cosmology from manual of the planes and similar books is in play. As well as all terrain books (sandstorm, stormwrack, ect.) and pretty much every other book you can think of. The only limit is it must be 3.5. Next it's supposed to be a game of irregulars. To this end everyone has 5 "bonus HD" to spend on level adjustments to make their char. even more unusual. All the other chars. are arcane casters of some sort belonging to the same guild. This is a back up char for my guild member to be introduced later if (given my track record more like when) my current char. dies. This new Char is a NG Giant Half-air elemental Eagle with 5 levels of healer and 2 levels of Combat medic. His story as far as I have gotten so far (and it isn't much) is that he just finished fledging his latest brood. This year he was less sucsessful than usual and did not gain his normal place as the head of the Arie during the mating flights. That title was taken from him by one of his younger offspring. Once the new chicks were fledged the new leader (his son) told him to leave the Arie as was his right as dominant male and as he truthfully expected. While he could rightfully claim a position in the Arie as lead healer and make himself exempt to such an order he instead has chosen to leave room for his son to grow into a leader himself. He's looking for a purpose so that's in his favor but the group consists of such varied alignments (run the range from good to evil, fun for the whole family) and races: a half-troll, Half-Dijn with some sort of Psi template, and an air-mephit. Just looking for ideas would like something stronger than hey I thought I'd tag along guys. I have nothing better to do anyway. |

Perhaps work out some sort of curse or disease with your DM that is arcane in nature, that as a cleric you yourself wouldn't be able to heal (perhaps also as an alternative reason why he could not take his normal place and an additional reason he was asked to leave). You've been searching for an antidote or some such, and all of your lore-gathering has lead you to believe that only arcane casters can help you. This can also be a possible side-quest for the group, or give direction to the group if they end up at loose ends. |
