draco646 05-16-07, 10:59 PM	Hi. I'm trying to design both my characters basic build and backround. I have a few things in mind. 1)House Lyrandar is going to be involved some how. Maybe might by not by the same name but it will have the same function. 2)I already have her alignment which is Chaotic Netural due to an alignment restriction of the campagin. 3) She has to be able to enter the Windwright Captian Prestige class that can be found in Explorers Handbook at level 8 4) She designs modifications for elemental airships so a class that would its self to designing these upgrades the DM has said I can add later for a price 5) I want her to take the leadership feat to have her whole crew as followers 6) I also want her to become the party leader or at least spokeswoman 7) She is really dedicated to her house thought is not ready to work full time for the house she spent her late teen early adult ears jumping from airship to airship being a crewman and assistant pilot 8) The campaign is going to evolve into us being a bunch of dragonslayers with the ship being our base and primary weapon against flying dragons Any help you can give on a build and more solidified backround would help also were starting at around lvl 5 and this campagin is a gesault campaign so I have the two sides of my chacter to worry about. Prom 05-17-07, 01:29 AM	Hi draco646, I like the nuts and bolts of your character, looks fun. Just have a few questions. Am I missing something, but your character does not appear to have a name. If you have trouble coming up with names check out the tools on the left hand side of the home page. There is a name generator to help you. Next do you have any parents? What are their names? And what do they do to make a living? Does she have any brothers, sisters or close friends. What are their names? Why has she followed the life she has and become a dragonslayer? You have to ask more questions about her and start trying to fill in the answers, this will help you come-up with the rest of the background you need. I recommend looking at the thread called Character Questionnaire on this Forum. I know you might want other people to give you solutions, but I think you are better to do it yourself. I would like to hear what you come up with and will help with details if you need it. Prom

Terjon of the Blue Rose 05-18-07, 02:46 AM	Yer almost certainly an artificer if you are designing the ships. Works for the PrC too... I think. Best it helps to have a high Cha for Art. You from House Lyrandar or just working for them? How does Lyrandar feel about your wanderlust (both the heads of the house and more general membership)? Party spokesman and leadership feat lead to a couple of interesting options. Authoritarian or Jovial? Lead by Order or Example? High expectations of others? Low? Distant leader or salt of the earth type? Leaders have several archetypes that are almost all fun to play. There is: Speak softly and carry a big stick, Yell a lot and hit people with a big stick, People who ignore a shout strain to hear a whisper, Silver Tongued Liar, Silver Tongued Hero (truthfull), the Why won't anyone listen to me type and more. I love role-playing diplomacy myself but its not the only check a leader has to make or even neccessarily the primary.
