| hotoro11-16-06, 01:10 PM | I am working on an 8th level NE 1/2-orc Druid for an upcoming campaign and I just wanted to get some suggestions from you guys. Prestige Class: People on the "what's a player to do" forum are suggesting I go with Blighter if I opt for a prestige class. While I DO want to keep my spellcasting levels increasing, Deforestation is just not going to work. There is not a lot of forest in this campaign setting to adventure in, let alone destroy to fuel my magic. I have considered oozemaster b/c its creepy, lol and when I get home this evening I am going to finally dig out my book of vile darkness and look through there. Are there any prestige classes you guys would suggest specifically? Animal Companion: Originally, when I built a 1st level version of this PC, I went with a medium viper (I am going for style points AND efficency, not to break the system). What would you guys suggestion as critters for my 8th level PC. Personality: I have never played an evil druid before... as a matter of fact I have only played a druid once before and he was NG. How would you guys portray an NE druid? Equipment: Last but not least, jumping ahead seven levels is going to give me a whole bunch of money. Magic items are not an option b/c of their rarity in the setting so what type of gear should I pick up for this character. As of not she is armed w/ a quarterstaff, a sling and a dagger. Other than the fact that I do not want to be using a bow, I am open to whatever. Thank You guys from taking the time to read this post and thanks again to anyone who posts a reply. -Hotoro |

More detail about the geography of your gameworld would go a long way for people to help you. Spears are very versatile weapons, I highly recommend them. I am not up on Druid PrC's so can't help you much there. There is/ or atleast was a God in Forgotten Realms called Malar the Beast Lord, that too may be worth looking into, if only for Roleplaying hints. Evil druid's twist nature to their goals or bring out the more vile and predatory side of nature. That's all I have got for now...good luck. More info on your part will lead to more ideas. |

In one of the FR books, I beliece Unapproachable East but don't quote me on that, is the PrC Talontar Blightlord, which is my FAVORITE evil druid PrC. Eberron has some interesting feats for druids that add some abilities and spells. Realm-specific material is easy enough to convert to any world I think. |

If you want animal companions oozing pus and blood, rotting shambling mounds and other plants at your beck and call, this prestige class if for you. It's just so flavourfull! Also, look at my post here (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?t=740781) for an interresting suggestion on how to play an evil druid. Throwing animal blood to the faces of your allies to heal their wounds is bound to attract some attention in the big city! |
