Looong post ahead.

Okay, so in my DM`s new Roleplay-heavy campaign (based on Forgotten Realms), one of the other players is playing a young Aasimar (sp?) paladin who is the center of a prophecy that says she will save Faerun from some ultimate evil (original, I know:rolleyes: ). My DM, however, being the twisted SOB that he is, wants me to make a evil character that will corrupt her, thus breaking the prophecy.

I was thinking along the lines of NE Human or Half-Elf Bard with heavy use of Bluff and Diplomacy who is very much in love with himself. Basically, he spent his childhood as a palace slave in Calimsham. During the Time of Troubles (sorry for all you who have no idea of what I`m talking about), Sharess, godess of lust and parties, hid as a concubine in his masters palace. He received a kiss from her, which instead of filling him with lust and love, it twisted his soul. After receiving the kiss, everyting else in the world could not match the beauty of the moment. He now views everything in existance as ugly and revolting and he is the only thing that is beautiful. He loves to corrupt things of beauty and goodness through deception and seduction and show everyone that everything is truly ugly underneath, no matter how beautiful it may look on the exterior.

So thats the backstory for my character, one twistedly evil bard with a huge ego. He wants to corrupt the Paladin because everyone looks up to her for her beauty and leadership. Now I`ve managed to hide my evilness from the rest of the party (who are either good or neutral) and I`m wondering how to go about turning the naive good-hearted paladin into a something evil (probably a blackguard) without being discovered. Can it be done?

P.S. I`m also wondering which, if any, FR God he would worship?

It can be done, and you will be one of the most refined forms in evil doing it. You are playing a charismatic bard so you definately have the manipulation talents. I suggest investing heavily in your diplomacy skills, you will probably need to do a lot of convincing. Trick the paladin into doing evil acts in the name of good.

For example, the party has just confronted a wizard dabbling in the darker magics and put the lives of the entire town in danger. Convince the paladin to show no mercy. If he recants his ways plant some evidence that he is still dabbling on him (reverse pickpocketing will be very useful) and go on about how he is not to be trusted one bit until the paladin decides to take drastic measures. Trick her into killing innocents by convincing her that they are wrong doers. When you encounter true evil encourage her to be as despicable as they are. If you run into a true monster of a man convince her a quick painless death is unworthy.

When you aren't encountering evil (real or faked by you), be one of the kindest men the party has laid their eyes on. Donate to the poor, help people, and just generally be a good person. This should help keep a facade up that you are a do-gooder who hates evil with a passion. You probably want to appeal to the violent, feral sides of your entire party. If everyone enjoys a slaughter they won't think twice when you tell the paladin to commit a cruel act.
