I was wondering if this is a good combination to cross to arcane archer and what could I do to improve this character in the way of Prestige Classes. The 1 lvl in wizard would hurt some of the ablities in arcane archer, mostly "imbue arrows". I am mostly just looking for a good Prestige Class for a archer minded person. |

Personaly I think the AA needs a small change to bring it to where it should be. Just add in the ability to still gain spells at 1st, 3rd, 5th, 7th, and 9th level. Won't make it too overpowering and will allow you to role-play your magical side some more. Does your ranger/wizard just use his wizard level for Shield and Mage Armor or does he use it for True Strike and Magic Missile? |

Other than Antimagic Field, I fail to see what spell would benefit from being imbued. In terms of game mechanics, the Arcane Archer is reputably a poor choice, but in terms of flavour, I think it is one of the best Prestige Classes around. If you don't want to hurt your BAB, 4 levels of Hexblade can give you the arcane spell requirements. Other archer PrC I know include Peerless Archer (Silver Marches), Order of the Bow Initiate (Complete Warrior) and Cragtop Archer or something (Races of Stone). |
