Alright, so Ebberon's Warforged are a wonderful new toy to play with, as far as this FR veteran is concerned. Similarly, the Boneknight PrC from Five Nations is one of the most interesting takes on a Holy Warrior archetype that I can recall in D&D. My present obsession is trying to craft a reasonable way to mesh these two seemingly incongruous pieces into one whole character. This is what I have so far:

Sword Swinger , Fighter 2/Cleric of Dol Dorn 3/Bone Knight 1

Everyone was surprised when the Warforged presented itself as a candidate for the Rekkenmark Academy. No Warforged had ever applied. As a novelty, Sword Swinger was accepted, and quickly proved adept. Sword Swinger was already well on a path to leadership when 'he' saved the life of a young Cleric of Dol Dorn. At the Warforged's request, the novice began telling Sword Swinger of his faith, and the concept of a glorious afterlife created by glory on this life's battlefield sparked something in Sword Swinger. He continued to demonstrate his prowess on the field, and eventually was offered a position as one of the elite: a Bone Knight.

I assume that your DM is houseruling that Warforged can benefit from the bone armor?

You may want to consider asking your DM if you can take the wood armor feat, and just replace the flavor with bone. You could do this with any armor feat I guess, but it makes more sense with the wood one, IMO.

How long ago did this happen? It is incredably strange for a warforge to present itself for anything. Warforged were orginally bought and placed in their positions, at least origonally. You may want him having to go through the academy just being a test to prove that warforged were up to the task.

Where is the cleric of Dol Dorm now, what is his relations with swordslinger? Why did Swordslinger ask about the cleric's faith?

How was he promoted to the rank of bone knight? That isn't something that happens often, especially for a warforged? How is he viewed by his peers and superiors? What is his current rank and standing in the military?

Bone Armor may be integrated into the Armor at the cost of a Feat at 6th level, per DM.

Happened at the beginning of Level 1 for the character; considered roughly 90 days/level (average) = 540 days ago. Swordswinger was remembered to say 'I Just Want To Prove One Of My Kind Can Pass The Training Of Rekkenmark.'

Where is the cleric of Dol Dorm now, what is his relations with swordslinger? Why did Swordslinger ask about the cleric's faith?

The Cleric suffered a major wound in the battle where Sword Swinger saved his life, and is now a non-adventuring evangelist (not the PrC) for his God. Sword Swinger still goes to him for council. Sword Swinger asked about the Cleric's faith because he wanted 'To Understand Why People Think An Idea Is Worth Dying For?'

How was he promoted to the rank of bone knight?

'For outstanding leadership on the field of battle'.

How is he viewed by his peers and superiors? What is his current rank and standing in the military?

He leads by example, and his orders and strategies are tactically sound. Some of his peers and superiors appreciate this, some dislike him despite (or because of) this.

What is his current rank and standing in the military?

As befits a 1st level Bone Knight....

Sorry, I should have been more clear, those are questions that need to be answered in your background. Backgrounds are best enhanced by asking and answering questions.

That last one can be left out though, if he's the standard for a bone knight then it's implied by him becomming a bone knight.
