| waternut10109-26-03, 12:47 PM | Here's the deal...I play an elven Ranger/Mage on a NWN server , and some things have recently happened that would change his outlook on the world. Here's a quick overview...the campaign has been going on for about 9 months now, and alot has happened, but most recently my character learned his father went missing. Just last session I learned the reason why. You see he (my father) discovered that a renegade elf from the old elven court has found a way to corrupt a moonblade so that an evil elf could wield it. He was on the trail tracking it down when he was killed. His soul instilled itself in my current sword making it a moonblade a rather weak one as his spirit is the only one it houses so far. (+1, +3 and +1d6 dmg vs. undead) I felt his spirit leave the world, and part of it return to my blade, and now I am to have a particular taste for undead, and a certain vampiric elf in particular. (I saw his killer in a dream or something like that flashback etc.) Up until now I have been rather frivolous, and not very driven...trying to poke fun, and stir up conflicts beetween party members as much as I can...what I would like is some advice for my characters changing persona. Should I become introverted and a bit synical, driven and very motivated, or just plain mean to everyone who I meet. Or anything else that you can think of, and some tips for roleplaying said change. |

I don't think he'd be particularly cynical per se, just withdrawn and thoughtful. The character would emerge from this phase very driven, and remain that way until his father was finally avenged. Anyway, that's how I'd play it. |
