hi.
im gonna role an avariell but im having a hard time finding good background material (or any material at all for that mater).
What have been writen about them and where?
The most constructive material so far is the section in races of faerune.

are there any novels, oldgaming supplements or articles from dragon magazine?

Anything to get some inspiration.

02-09-07, 10:43 PM There is a mage/cleric npc in Baldur's Gate 2... shes kind of annoying and whiny... and has had her wings cut off, but she is still an Avariell.

Thats about the best i can do at the moment, go to gamebanshee.com or something and check out the background on her.

Peace

02-12-07, 07:06 PM Avariell from second edition were praticly all clostrophobic (or at least really unliked being in closed space, specially undergrounds and mountains). Theyr society is mostly higher magic then most elf society. Thats what i know about them! Hope it helped

02-12-07, 08:53 PM I once came up with one that was a devout follower of Talos The Destroyer. So he would fly around with a couple Quivers of Ehlonna filled to the brim with Javelins to hurl down at people. Especially Javelins of Lightning to further augment the abilities granted by the Stormlord PrC. With basically his background being that as a youngster, he was struck by a stray bolt of lightning while learning to fly...and the sheer power of it dazzled him. So while he was recovering from the damage, he decided to pledge himself entirely to the power of storms and electricity to smite his foes.
