Help with Assasin Backstory and RPing [Archive] - Wizards Community

Thasis was not normal. He was a human weapon made in a time of war to kill for his country. Some time ago there was a great war, a war in which all was wagered and all was participating. The side of good was losing, badly. Heaven had their own matters and evil had always outnumbered good, it was just good was always together while evil divided. Now under the Lich-King's control evil was united. Desperately good had their best transmuters and archmagi working together to make something new, something better. They came up with The Power. The Power was like magic, but took the rest time needed to prep the spells into a matter of seconds. They gave unborn babies a special enchantment, allowing them to tap The Power more fully. This gave them immortality...They made Thasis and his Siblings. They made new spells and trained for war, and war only. Together they pushed back evil. Thasis was an Assassin. Trained in the arts stealth, and death. Finally after a century of war one final push was needed, one final battle, the capital was all that was left of the Evil Empire. Roughly 100 of the Siblings out of the 1000 made came, all that was left. While they made plans the enemy attacked led by the Lich-King. During the battle Thasis slew the Lich-King. His forces fell back. Leaving Thasis all alone. He knew they would come back t finish him. The only reason they didn't do it then was because they were too disorganized. He descended into the lowest level of the complexe to a small closet. Saying the password the floor opened up. He fell into a room, the door closing, as if one with the floor. There he layed on the bed and drunk a potion. One that was tied to the land. The drink would enter his system and stay in his bloodstream until he found a way to get rid of it. it would kill him when evil was stronger than good, and revive him when good was stronger. He thought of an Evlen maiden, who was his fiance, and the mother of his unborn twins, one daughter, one son. Then he died. This stopped the evil from scrying him, and the room was too cleverly disguised to be discovered. Then, something unplanned happened. Later, good took sway, a murderer died, just one. So Thasis woke. Then another murderer killed 5, and he died. The power of good and evil were so equal that such small things swayed the balance. So Thasis died multiple times. Now this wouldn't be so bad except, as with all revivification spells you lose bits of himself when you come back. So, the mighty did fall. Until one day where an act of true goodness happened and he woke. He left the room drained. Found the nearest town and tried his hardest to stay alive. He doesn't know how much time has passed, due to the fact that the world switched calenders after the war. Thus the second chapter of his story starts...

Thasis still works as an assassin. He kills the bad people in the world. He has three main goals, find his fiance, stop the potion, find his kids. He will be a SwordSage. His maneuvers will be The Power.

Now I need some help. How would you RP him? What else should I include? If you need more info, ask me. Any constructive comments are welcome.

Unknown to Thasis there is another elf, and elfish prince who also want Thasis' fiance's hand in marriage.

How would you RP him?
At the moment, even his alignment is totally unclear, not to speak of his character.
First, ask yourself: Why?
Why does he kill bad people? If he wants to better the world, why even kill them? He should be Lawful Neutral, in this case. If he kills them for his own sake, for staying alive, he is no better than them and should be Chaotic Evil/Chaotic Neutral.

You should tell us more about him. Is he interested in the world or only in himself and his family?
Does he pursue his aims with all power that is left in him?

01-01-07, 07:07 PM He kills the bad people mainly to save himself. If he does stop the potion he will kill people for money but will charge less for evil people. He will probably overall help the world. Probably donate money to charity too. He is for good but won't do everything for free. He works at his aims with 50%-75% of his time. He will be working as a mercenary while looking. Figuring his work has him travel so as he travels he asks around about people.
