Ok first off, this is a gestalt game that we have just started. I am fairly new to the D&D world as far as d20 gaming goes, but I am an avid fantasy fan and played my share of RPGs. I love storyline and would like to be a part of it, not just a silent observer.

My Character: A blue (goblin) Psychic Warrior//Druid, base level to start the game

I love goblin lore in all games, from the portrayal of a conniving two-timer to a more misunderstood tribal-focused unit. I was thinking of taking the role of an outcast, a forced loner, by his brethren because of his different tone of skin, blue. Ideally this would help define his calling into the druidic society as he passed many trials at the hands of nature as a more sickly, inferior character.

At some point, in his personal struggle, he befriends an imp PC in the game who like him is visually unappealing, but seemingly has an ulterior motive to feeding off my goblin's self-doubt and misery. My goblin, who I have named Dzaruk, has but one friend, his trusty dog who he allows his new imp companion to ride. Basically, I am wondering how I can play this character to truly capture his mistrust of anyone of superior outward stature and build, but also derive a sense of belonging to the outdoors, unforgiving and perilous.
