So I have this Idea for using a large/Powerful build race, but I don't have any idea what to do with it after lvl 2. The idea is that a large/powerful build race can weild two weapons at the same time and both of them be two handed weapons. The off-hand is a reach weapon, and the main-hand something that deals lots of damage. The reach weapon allows you to get more AoOs and with the stand still or Large and in Charge will allow you to stop foes from entering your threatened area. For those that do make it into your threatened area your main-hand allows you to do lots of damage with full attacks. So far the build is:

Goliath Fighter 1 (ECL 2)

Stand Still (Free feat for character creation)
Combat Reflexes (lvl 1 Fighter)

Looking into some options I have seen that Double hit would work well with the combo. Imp. trip would allow you to do trips as AoOs. Its a really simple build that has lots of power and utility at low lvls. But I have no clue what to do with it later. Any ideas folks?

you're in the wrong forum, check Character optimisation.

I dont want to optimize, I want ideas for what to do with it after ECL 2. Its a strong low lvl build with a lot of survivability. But there isnt much to do with it later.

Thats what the Character Optimization board is for man. Optimization handles the mechanics, Development handles the RP aspect of your character (history, behavior, etc)

CO, key word being OPTIMIZATION, I want input on a progression based on the character's personality. He would be a defensive person, honorable, and probably cheerful most of the time. Also very serious about most things. I build on concepts, I just cant get a concept for RPing this character and therefor don't know where to take him in with the build.

P.S. I already posted on the CO board, they didn't see fit to indulge me with help either.

They probably did not help you because you are not being very clear with what you want your character to be. If you really want to focus on the defensive aspect, then Combat Expertise and Dodge are good places to start.

If you want to bring your roleplaying into the combat, it is up to you to figure out how the character would actually behave in a fight, and which feats would supplement the actions he would take or give him better ones. If you actually want a progression based on personality, "defensive, honorable attack-of-opportunity fighter" is not enough to work with. What would he actually DO in combat? Pick feats that support that.

Defensive aspect: Take any/all armour feats. Iron will [to defend vs mind spells]
cheerful: Multiclass into bard and/or take ranks in perform [singing] and crack jokes/whistle tunes.Look positively at everything, play around and try new things in low cr encounters
serious/focused:Take ranks in concentration skill, take endurance feat, use power attack/most damage etc to quickly takedown powerful enemies

Ahem. THIS DOES NOT BELONG ON THE DEVELOPMENT BOARDS!

Really. Try CO. This is for RP and backstory, NOT mechanics.
