| Ghostpilot10-01-07, 04:53 AM | I did some reading up on the Artifcer class and was thinking of making one for a game I'm in. I'm still trying to wrap my head around the class and the wealth of information that's out there about them (the Optimal Artificer, the Artificer Handbook [Rough-Draft]); it's all rather overwhelming, actually. I thought that perhaps I could get a bit of advice from here. I have 6 levels to play with, and for a race I was thinking of going Warforged Scout (MM III, DM said it was okay to drop the -2 to Wis, so it's -2 Str, +2 Dex, -2 Con), or perhaps regular Warforged if that would be a better option. I have 2 flaws, thus bringing (not counting bonus Artifcer feats) to 5 and my as of yet unassigned stat array is: 17, 16, 16, 16, 16, 13 (the Dice Gods smiled upon me ), 13k gold to spend, and all WotC books are available. He'll be grouped up with a level 6 Swordsage and a level 6 Battle Sorcerer as well. I'm most going for versitility, perhaps with a slight emphasis on ranged / buffing. Given with what I have to use, what would be the best Artificer I could make? |
