| deneb09-30-05, 11:11 PM | I am trying to create a character who is a telpath ish sorta guy.... im not sure what to list him for alignment. anyway... undernormal circumstances he is a very law abiding guy, however, should he find cause for it he is quite willing to bend rules or if dire, break them outright. however he will only do that if he is helping or defending someone that cant help themselves. (he would be quite willing to rob the kings treasury to fund a priviate army to defend the castle kinda thing however he would try to perswade the king first, if that didnt work CON the king into funding an army) about the only alignments that I cant see him beign described as are NE and CE. .... what is yalls opinion? |

Meaning I very often submit alignment rules to a beating. You have to take into consideration how your character sees his own actions, not necessarily the way we see them. Realistically, it sounds to me like a CG. Could be NG in that he will sink to doing a wrong if necessary to accomplish a right. There's a balance there. Could even pass him as CN; saying he takes noone's immediate consideration into account to maintain the status quo. Sorry to confuse you more about the subject if I have, but the point I'm trying to make is that it is ultimately up to you in where you want to eventually take your character, and also your character's point of view is a huge factor. As a DM looking at a roleplaying aspect of the game, I tend to value character's point of view as a huge factor. Just keep those things in mind. |
