| Sachage01-10-07, 12:30 AM | I'm planning to play a cleric of wee jass in my next campaign. Now, in terms of character, I know I want to play her as very strict, stern, unforgiving and just overall not a lot of fun to be around. She's LN, and will most likely take the Mind and Magic domains (Mind is from complete divine). Thoughts were considered to taking domination, but I wanted to emphasise her neutrality... until perhaps she does descend to evilness. Now one of the thoughts I was having, because I want her to be completely and utterly dedicated to wee jass, is whether or not I should multi class? Going a wizard (and possible mystic theurge) multi class seems fantastic, although I'd be sacrificing my higher level spells, as well as all turning ability. Now if I am aiming to be the no. 1 follower of wee jass, would I do this. And if I do, after finishing the mystic theurge prestige class, do I continue to evenly divide myself between wizard and cleric, or do I just continue the cleric (Basically becoming a Cleric of Wee Jass 7/Wizard 3/Mystic Theurge 10). Also, when I do take the wizard elvels, would I specialise? If I did, I would assume necromancy to be the obvious choice, but what schools would I then give up? I'm unsure as to what a true follower of wee jass would aspire to become... that and it does seem slightly strange to be equipped with heavy/medium armour as a follower of wee jass, who does seem very arcane focused. Thank you for the help, hopefully this isn't the wrong forum to have posted in... |

You give up a little more spell power, but keep the ability to rebuke undead. You could do Cleric 3/Wizard 3/True Necromancer 14, or Cleric 3/Wizard 3/Mystic Thuerge 10/True Necromancer 4 |

Weejas does NOT approve of digging up random graves etc. You have to get proper rights to use that body. She doesn't care if you even do nasty stuff like sacrifice a living human and rip out his heart.. but if the victim isn't willing, then he needs to be somethign like a properly condemned criminal, with hsi execution given to yoru hands. I think sacrificing prisoners who were people trying to kill you would be fine though. |

I still want the character to be predominately a cleric of wee jass, I'm just wondering if its more fluffy to multi class. |

A fighter or sorcerer devoted to Wee Jas could be more pious and earnest in his faith than most clerics, although clerics are necessarily at least somewhat devout. From an optimization standpoint, going mystic theurge would probably weaken your character, since you'd need to skip all but the lightest armor to cast spells, lose three cleric caster levels, etc. However, as for being truly devoted to Wee Jas, I'd say it doesn't matter much. You can be a very pious, devout follower of Wee Jas as a mystic theurge or as a straight cleric, and you can be a slightly lax, doubtful follower of of Wee Jas as a mystic theurge or as straight cleric. Why, though, would you study to be a wizard? If you took your cleric level first, how do other aspiring wizards studying wherever you studied arcane magic feel about you? Were there any things about being trained as a wizard that surprised or offended you, as a cleric? (for example, maybe she first found the arcane use of animate dead to be blasphemous, since she thinks that dominion over the dead should be the exclusive preserve of those of her faith, and therefore took necromancy as a barred school as a wizard. Or, alternatively, maybe she feels that necromancy is sacred and has specialized as part of her devotion to her faith.) There's definitely some interesting roleplaying in the mystic theurge role. Either way, whether as a straight wizard or a mystic theurge, you can be the ultimate pious follower of Wee Jas if you want. |

| Sachage01-14-07, 12:16 PM | Where do you find the rules for such a class? |
| strenoth01-14-07, 03:23 PM | that's from the Tome of battle. |
