I'm playing a dwarven druid in my DM's homebrew world. There aren't any glaring difference's between this and the standard the major ones being lifespans. Dwarves life twice as long as elves from the standard.

We're crossing the 3.0 and 3.5 rules and basically excepting whatever's more powerful. It doesn't matter much because we spend more time roleplaying than in combat.

Anyway, I'm playing a dwarven druid and all I can peg down is that I'm claustrophobic and therefore was driven to the surface. Dwarves distrus me and I gave up the stone related racial abilities.

From there I need help with the exact details.

Any suggestions?

Er... what is the question? Maybe it is just me, but I can't see a problem, as much as I'd like to help.

As you claustrophobia got far to out of hand for you to control in the caverns. you ran out into the surface world seeking help. Even the trees seemed to choke you in the forests. So you ran until you hit a plains-land. There you encountered a monk and a druid. The monk helped you (Through meditation) overcome how serious your claustrophobia was (Its still there now, but not as worse). The druid showed you how things work topside.

I hope you're not thinking that you need to abandon dwarven culture to be a 'druid.' Though the typical druid may be a human or elf living in the woods, there's nothing stoping a dwarf from making a connection to nature underground. He'd probably be /very/ earth-oriented, in fact...
