| RayneMaker09-29-06, 10:50 PM | my previous character was a kobold sorcerer by the name of Krestor Vixbixgixix. Unfortunately, my character sheet was ruined and i couldn't really get anything out of the sheet nor remember what his stats/spells were. at the time, he was level 4. now the characters in the group are all level 5, and there are a bard, a cleric, and a dread necromancer. i'd rather not play a spellcaster, unless its a hybrid class, i.e. paladin or duskblade. i was thinking about going barbarian 1/dragon shaman 4. all i know is that i want to play a melee oriented kobold. his back story is that he was a sorcerer who wanted to build his own familiar, but when he gave his clothing to the two gnoll children who the group had found after we killed the adult gnolls, he realized he was good, and not true neutral. so he was left in the desert to do god knows what. but i figured something along the lines of bahamut or his aspect came to him in a dream and told him to do his bidding. so i'd like a good class that has something to do with dragons. any ideas are welcome. |

It is not just a magical power but rather an aspect of your powerful bloodline and its connection to dragons. Thanks to your draconic breath, you can avoid the weapons of the lesser races, though those whose mobility rivals that of the dragons are still a problem. Monk/sorcerer/Dragon Disciple. Suggestions: You wield the power of the ancient dragons in the name of your tribe, you have the speed and strength of the old dragons, something you know that people should fear. Use your speed and draconic abilities to prevent anyone from using the terrain against you, location is everything for you. Rogue Suggestions: Build traps and hide in the shadows, your paranoid and don't intend to be caught blindsided ever again, it has already cost you dearly. Staying out of your opponents reach is all-important for you. Paladin Suggestions: You are a crusader at heart, spreading the words of your ancient forefather Kurtulmak(sp?) and bringing his justice to the world. However, you know how frail you are and make sure to use a crossbow rather than the sword favored by so many other crusaders. |

For a slighly different approach, try a swordsage from ToB. They can get excellent melee damage and survivability despite your lack of size and strength. Using mostly Desert Wind manuevers even fits the backround nicely. |
