How can I work a LG Paladin into a true zeal of killing evil. Can I still retain my pally status and while being broody, dark and enjoying seeing an evil creatures blood pooling around his feet? Thanks |

Remember to raise a sword for good and right, not for personal reasons or bloodlust. Care for others, you are heroic, not psychopathic. Decide on how you perceive evil - do you perceive it as acts of cruelty and treachery, or do you perceive it in terms of race. Decide what enemies you have in mind. If it is truly evil your character hates - then crime bosses and the like will be your main enemies. If it is 'creatures' he hates, then take great care that the next orc you kill is not an innocent like you. Not disputing that paladins are killers when they need to be, however, they are so much more. |

Actually she played a CN (but played it like CG) paladin of Mask. So perhaps you can work something out with your DM. You might want to invest some time in creating your own Code. You can try to highlight the retribution part of your job. In that case you'll show the DM that you're willing to do the effort to roleplay your character to the bottom (and by the way convincing him that you don't want to wreck the game). We also worked on the mechanics of the paladin. We dropped the aura of good and changed cure disease into discern lies. Hope it works out for you, Cheers |
