It is a level three campaign. After asking my DM if he would mind me being a psion he said 'Okay, but your the only one. A unique being.'

So, after thinking about this for a while this is what I came up with. Mind you I'm not the greatest of writers and there is a lot of kinks to work out.

The setting is a large continent with a forest that covers over half of it. In the last campaign we were able to get the drow to move into the sylvanesty forest after a big treaty was signed and the underdark was almost destroyed. North east of the forest is a place called Avalon, where the start of the campaign will be taking place. South of the forest is the badlands and west of the forest is where my character is from. The entire thing is about the size of Africa but more circular.

In a small town known as Corian there existed a small clothing shop on the north end. This particular establishment was two stories tall with rooms and living on the top floor while the downstairs served the shop itself. In one such room a boy sits with his fingers slowly running over his present, amazed by the fluffy texture and of the soft fur of the creature held in his arms; a pure black kitten with a white patch on it’s stomach. It was a present from his mother. It was the first time she actually gave him anything that meant anything and the first time she acknowledged his birthday that didn’t mean just giving him more chores around the house to do.
The main reason his mother loathed him was the three strange markings he had on his face. A hexagon on his forehead and high up on his cheeks but stretched slightly. Years before when he asked where his father is she merely glared at him as if he were the spawn of Asmodeus and stated with venom in her voice, "He died saving your pathetic life..." And never spoke of it again. He always believed that his mother wasn't his mother, due to his mother and sister having bright red hair and him having almost black hair.
He held his kitten close to his body, enjoying its warmth. He would play with it tomorrow, after he was done helping with the shop. “Goodnight, Midnight,” He says while the cat purrs contentedly in his arms.
He awoke early the next morning well before anyone else in the house was awake. He quietly went downstairs, leaving Midnight to sleep. He had a strange headache, but dismissed it as allergies despite the season being well into winter. He went about quietly setting up shop, a little quicker than usual so he could get a few minutes of playtime with Midnight before he had to do any sewing.
He was so excited that he ran up the stairs and into his room, not noticing that his doorway was slightly ajar. As he steps fully into his room, arms out and ready to give his kitten a hug, he comes face to face with the glare of his older sister. In one hand she holds the corpse of Midnight, in the other a bloody kitchen knife. The knife hand is shaking visibly as she says, “I won’t let mother love a freak like you…”
The boy is in shock, his body unable to move and his legs shaking, his knees buckling under the sudden stress. Images flash before his eyes. Images of his sister peering out of her room and watching him going downstairs. Images of her slipping into his room. Images of her brutally murdering his only friend.
“I won’t let you take mother from me. Once she finds the oversized rat in your room, who do you think she is going to believe? Some freak, or her loving daughter?” He started to cry, but not audibly. Her words and his visions slowly spinning in his mind like a twister of thought and emotion that just continued to step up in size.
They young boy could feel energy rise up form inside him, and could almost feel a floodgate of energy leaving his body as he screamed in rage and betrayal. He lunged towards his sister, only to be brutally pushed to the floor. With another scream of rage a crystal formed in front of him and hovered for a moment before slamming into his sisters neck. At that moment the door flung open to reveal his mother dressed in a nightgown. Before she could say a word, she was slain also. As the rage slowly went away, he fell to the floor unconscious, tears running down his cheeks as he clung to the still form of Midnight.
He awoke within a forest with trees larger than he had ever seen. He spent only a single night in the biting cold before a group of travelers came upon him and dressed him in warm if oversized clothing and created a campfire to warm the boy’s blood.
“Oi, runt! Where do ya hail from? Where is yer home and where being yer parents? Little ones like yerself shouldn’t be out and about in the middle of the forest. Said to be a dragon in here. ” The dwarf of the group asked. He seemed to be the more talkative of the bunch. The elf dressed in rags seemed to always be paying attention to nothing while the two humans in armor seemed to preoccupied with sucking each other’s faces.
The boy didn’t want to go home. He wanted to go somewhere far away, far enough so they couldn’t find him and in a big enough place where he could hide. “A-Avalon city… Th-the monastery…” He says timidly, using the back of his hands to wipe the tears from his eyes so they don’t freeze. “A-and some g-green monster left me here after I went for a walk in the woods. I-it got scared and ran away when it heard people coming...”
The dwarf nodded. “Aye, we be going that way, I don’t suppose anyone would mind the detour, now would ya?” He turns to look at his companions, none of them paying attention. “Yeah, I didn’t think so. Come on now twerp, lets get going. The name is Cornelius Barose. What do they call ye, lad?”
The boy is silent for a moment before he answers with a quiet “Midnight.”

Temperament: Truly vicious when it comes to combat and unforgiving to those who attack him or the people he cares for. He can come off as a bit of an ******* at times but will go out of his way to help people. He keeps people at arms length by mocking them offhandedly, not letting them get close to him. Midnight does not like helping people who do not even attempt to try and help themselves. If they are not willing to fight for their own life, why should he? He does an old dwarven custom of placing silver coins on their eyes to pay the boatman into the afterlife, no matter if it is friend or foe. Midnight has a preference of leaving a dagger in their hand to get their money back if they are close friends. He also prefers to wear very nice looking robes when he can, but will usually wear peasant robes and selling the extravagant clothing to nobility. He will spend an hour of ‘me time’ alone and simply meditate, usually in the evening or the morning depending on how busy he is.

Power renaming:

Now the story itself could do with some tweaking. Questions, comments or concerns would be greatly appreciated. This isn’t all set in stone and if you can help me tweak it a bit I would be really grateful. :D

Third level psion. The game hasn't started and so far the only people who have finished their characters to any degree is the human artificer(assassin kinda guy) the Samurai and me. None of our characters have met prior. The samurai I can see my guy getting along fairly well with because from what I gather he will just take the light insults in stride, but the artificer is a huge *******, even more so than my character so there will definatly be tension there. My Psion is human. His skills are:
Concentration 10
Craft Clothing 10
KnowArc 10
KnowNat 10
KnowRel 10
KnowPla 10
Listen 14
Psicraft 10
Spot:19 (+2item, alertness from crystal, +3from crystal +3skillfocus)
His feats consist of Psionic Talent x4, Psionic body and Skill focus Spot.
His level six feat will be Psionic Meditation.

His powers I listed above, but again are subject to change.
