Race: Human Class: Hexblade with a bit of Cleric of Beshaba(Fate/Luck domains) Age: Early 20's. Alignment: Chaotic Neutral Appearance: ~6'0 Tall. Thin build. Slightly pale skin. Long black hair often tied up in pony tail. Dark green eyes, with small/simple dark green tattoos trailing off from the corners of his eyes. Personality and background are what I need help with. I see him in combat being a very dark, brooding and almost evillike, but at the same time would like to give him some "happier" character flaws without ruining his dark combat persona. I'd like to try to combine these ideas into a believable personality. I have a couple ideas for background story but could use some help fleshing them out. I know I'd like to be more or less from the coastal area around Luskan...Maybe I could work in being given from my parents to some sorceror to become his apprentice/helper?This could explain my initial learnings of magic. Maybe because since I was born I had brought nothing but bad luck? I could possibly have trust issues due to this? Just a general concept at the moment...I don't even have a name for him yet. lol. Any ideas? |

When the boy got older, more things started going wrong (people falling of stairs, animals having mislabors) until the horrid drought wich was followed by the coldest of winters. The grandmother was slowly losing her grip on reallity. The cold had touched her mind. She tried to murder the child in its sleep. But she was prevailed when her knees collapsed. The kid gave her such a beating that she never stood up anymore. His mother knowing that her husband would kill the boy for what he had done to his grandma decided to bring the boy to a some pilgrims of Farlaghn. There he was raised further to help fellow travellers. He has been allways on the road ever since, but a dark force still lingers from within. |

For a typical DnD character though, combat is a more accepted thing. You could play the character as a generaly easy going person, pleasant, humorous, polite etc etc. Then, in combat, or any other situation where he might be caused pain, anger or fustration, he takes on a very unpleasant demenour, swearing, curt and to the point, sneering and of cause, sticking his blade into anything that gets in his way. This is something ver believable as its a trait that im trying to loose myself personally. I contracted a severe case of rsi or carpal tunnel and was in constant pain for nearly 18 months and on/off pain for years. As a result, when ever I am in pain and fustrated and/or angry, its a very bad mix because I get real nasty, throwing things, smashing things and swearing like you wouldnt believe. All the character would need is something in his back ground or child hood where he associates potential pain with those character traits. |
