| Dedwrekka03-23-06, 06:46 PM | Playing a completely neutral Cleric of Gond in a no-renasaunce-weapons type of campaign I realized how actually few options I had to making things that work. Then I stumbled upon the rules for making flesh golems, something I could easily do. However, I'm finding myself in a bit of trouble. How to sneak the monstrosity under the zelot Paladin's nose... Any suggestions? I've also been toying with the idea of raising a few undead and maybe starting up my own little minion party. ~Jerek the Cleric |
| Mist of Shadows03-23-06, 07:27 PM | Sure here are some solutions. 1 don't do it. :) 2 make a different type of golem for example take a look at the effigy stuff. 3 Use some spells to clean up the look of a flesh golem and don't explain to the paladin how they are made. 4 If it comes down to it tell him you just acquired control of the creature and if need be you are willing to destroy it. If you have to send it to clean out some bandits or something then "lose" it into your other hideaway. 5 get an item that hides your alignment and set up two personalities and be the parties own big bad. 6 I suggest something like a permanent illusion over something the golem has on, to make it look like something else. |
| ManTimeForgot03-26-06, 08:27 AM | Or you could just construct the flesh golem from the parts of fallen enemies. "Let the bodies of the evil doers help you in your mission to eradicate evil from the world." It would be poetic justice right... MTF |

| Nobody_03-28-06, 04:49 AM | You should check with your DM as to how this will effect your alignment. Alignment is too tricky for anybody but your DM to answer. If he rules that creating and using the flesh Golem is evil, make sure to balance that out by doing Good things to keep your neutral alignment (keeping in mind the effects from lying and decieving your Paladin). Otherwise, Mist of shadows hit the spot. |
| MasterOfPsychic03-28-06, 05:24 AM | Never mind about the paladin... As there is a paladin on the party, you MUST be fighting for greater good already... If not, he have broken this oaths already... If you do, then the creation of a fleshgolem will only aid you in the quest for greater good... If the paladin cares more about honors and such than greater good, then he is plain lawful rather than good... If he is: tell him to defeat both you AND your golem if he want's it away :P |
