He could be used for an interesting plot hook for a low level campaign. Having only narrowly survived to his current level, the wizard has begun researching a way to make himself tougher. He has learned of the Green Star Adept prestige class from CA, but doesn't have the requisite ammount of starmetal. So he hire's the PC's to go get him some. While I'm aware that the character would have many other means of increasing his HP at his disposal (toughness, improved toughness, toad familiar, amulet of health...), I like to think that those would not be effective on him for whatever reason, and that is why he is pursuing the green star adept route. He would likely be good aligned, otherwise he would probably try to become a lich instead. As far as feat selection, whatever would work in your campaign. Perhaps leadership to attract a loyal cleric to keep him alive. Maybe make him a enchanter and take the spell focus' to greater aid his ability to completely avoid a fight. Overall, I just thought the idea of a high level character that would have only 1 hp would be hilarious. |
