I'm playing a Warforged in a campaign with my cousins and I'm trying to come up with a good history for my char other than "I fought in the last war.- the end". I'm trying to think of some good personel horror for him, because the warforged may be living constructs but they still feel feelings. Any thoughts?

Well, a Warforged is much like any other soldier, except they usually don't have a choice in the matter. There's an awful lot that can happen on a battlefield; it's hard to "just fight" in a war and have that be the end of it.

Of course, there's plenty of options if you don't want to fight at all. Perhaps, exercising his newly-granted free will, you character defected from the army and went into hiding. Or he was stolen from his unit for some sinister purpose. Maybe his creation forge broke just after he was completed, unknown to his creators, so he spent years trapped in there utterly alone and unable to die before he was eventually rescued by treasure hunters. Heck, that last one provides a pretty nice horror for his right off the bat, doesn't it.

A warforged in Eberron has about 3 years in which he could have done many things as a free sentient being. Most human starting characters have about that same time as being somewhat of an adult. So he could have done many things.

Maybe he was part of a mercenary group shortly after the War and his group was killed by another force (maybe some evil force, but also law enforcers are known to kill mercenaries)

Maybe, after he found out he had free will, he also discovered feelings and fell in love with some fleshy humanoid. But, because he is a construct, nothing can ever truly come from this love and the humanoid will never love him like she can love another humanoid (oh, this is shakespeare material)

Or maybe he just wants to be a real boy! :P

Perhaps was he disabled in a large-scale battle, then burried alive in a pauper's grave, either intentionally or not. 3 years later, a team of cleric attempting to give better burrying to the victims found and heal him.
That would make for a seriously disturbed fellow!

Check the few links in my sig about warforged, it could help you.

What's your class? For personal horror, if you want, you could make it a horror she committed in the Last War, not a horror she endured. For instance, she could be a Cyrean warforged (say), and when she was in a vicious battle with a bunch of Brelish warforged, her unit might have captured some Brelish warforged, and she was ordered to torture the Brelish for information (maybe threatening to dissolve them in acid or rust monster venom or something). She did as she was ordered -- and worse, she found herself enjoying it, in spite of herself. Now she's trying to come to terms with the aspect of her nature that enjoys inflicting pain while trying to still be a decent 'forged. (assuming you want a basically "good" character)

Jules I like your idea the most. That's what I was trying to lean towards. Tak for all the good ideas.
