Hobboddynock Dimble: Half-Fiend Gnome [Archive] - Wizards Community

11-18-04, 02:59 PM Okay, stick with me on this one. It's an idea I've been kicking around today and I need to know what everyone thinks of the rough draft.. It's not a story that sticks to strict d&d rules but I don't care so save yourself the trouble of spouting rules. I'm hoping this story isn't too stereotypical or hokey or anything. Any tips or ideas or anything are most appriciated. Let me know what you think!

Hobboddynock Dimble: Half-Fiend Gnome

Once there was a gnome who thought himself the ultimate trickster. Of course his gnome brethren disputed this vehemently. To prove himself, the little gnome used stolen power and forbidden tomes to summon forth a powerful demon. The gnome’s plan was to trick the demon into surrendering a great gift but demons are not so easily fooled. The gnome’s pitifully cast protection spells were no match for the demon’s power and he was thrown aside like a leaf in the wind. Infuriated, the demon cursed the gnome to walk the lands infected with that which he sought to control.

Marked with the curse of the demon, the little gnome was banished from his village. Distraught by the stupidity of his actions, the gnome vowed to redeem himself ….

But the story seems liek a basic outline, but the Warlock class would suit him very well

12-05-04, 06:21 PM Whoops. I never noticed that this got a post. Yeah, it's just a basic outline. And what's the NWN? I think I pieced this name together from names in the PHB. But what's NWN?

12-05-04, 08:21 PM NWN is Neverwinter Nights, a Computer game based on D&D and one of the followers you can get is a gnome sorcerer named Boddyknock something.
Now, to actually help you, what level is this character starting at, but overall I like it.

12-05-04, 11:40 PM Oh, oh. No, I've never played Neverwinter Nights. I think Boddynock is found in the players hand book. I combined that with a couple other names and so he was named.

I believe he'll be starting at 1st level. He's part of a new campaign we're going to play after the current one ends. He might end up part of a monster hunter squad.
