How to play a LE Sorcerer? [Archive] - Wizards Community

I'm going to play a LE sorcerer/shadow adept, and i was wondering. How do you realy play LE? CE is easy, but LE...
Could anyone give a short explanation of how LE acts in puplic
and how not?

12-23-03, 06:36 AM The difference between CE and LE is generally that CE cause havoc by going berzerk until they are stopped by someone. LE instead is more tactical and planning upon how he can cause as harm/pain/suffering as possible with simple methods, or he simply have plans with a side effect that lots of innocent people will die or get harmed by it.

To study how LE works in public, study Ku-Kux-Klan or politically active Neo-Nazis. Be a racist. Opress people becouse of their color, job or status. Be nice to whomever have "control", becouse if you have them on your side you can opress people wherever you go without bothering about the societies interfearence.

When you plan to satisfy your sadistic side, be sure you have the virgin/victim/whatever taken away, so you can torture them in peace without interfearence, or witnessess. Be sure to slay them afterwards, so they dont tell.

Assassinate thoose that you dont need, including other PC's, especially whomever starts to uncover your true nature. Assassinate them before they tell anyone.

Make up what drives your hate/evilnessess so you can roleplay it when you encounter it. Did Dwarves bully your family when you where young? Make them pay! Was your father hanged becouse a crime that you dont consider that bad? Crush the ruler's reputation so that they are dropped from their high seats.
Do you simply love the taste of human meat? Well, go ahead and grab a chunk from the dead bodies whenever you can, or why not offering your "victims" dinner, just like Hannibal Lector did?

If you are evil becouse you are driven by insanity, be sure to study the real insanity behind it, so you know how to portrait it.

If you are evil becouse you are a follower of a wicked god, be sure to study that god, so you know how you can make him/her happy and defend him/her against non-believers.

12-23-03, 10:39 AM I would be less extremist than JemyM. Simply be self-centered. It's not because you know where are your priorities that you are a fiend! (Especially if other players are good). You could occasionnaly enjoy torturing a goblin before killing him, but not too often, otherwise you will be seen as a fiend. Having a high charisma (most Sorcerer do), you should insult people in very subtle ways.

You know Harry Potter? You know the Prof. Rogue? This man hate Harry Potter, but he is a teacher. He could have Potter fall in a trap just for the fun of punishing him afterward. Lucius Malefoy is another good LE kind in this serie.

12-24-03, 03:16 AM Personally, I'd go the evil business man route for a character like that. Think the Kingpin in Daredevil or Lional Luthor on Smallville.
