Human Druid in a Planar Campaign
v1.0

Hey everyone, I'm about to start off playing a Human Druid in a homebrew campaign. The campaign world is heavily focused around planar travel and visiting the many new and creative planes. You can find out more about it here: http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?t=336998

Anyways here are some of the basic ideas that I want my Druid to encompass:
-He is of the Faith of Ohmea. It is based around a "motherly figure" deity who is very similar to mother nature. Some major preachings are respecting your mother and nature, being kind to others. It is also not a very restricting religion and its followers have mostly free reign to do as they choose.
-He is an Orphan. I think it'd be interesting to have him as an Orphan and then adopt the faith of Ohmea as a replacement for his own mother.
-He was left in Aleussa. Aleussa is an enormous walled city, guarded by guardinals. It is one of the last bastions of good in the campaign world. Celestial creatures walk in the inner gardens of the city. I think that this would be a good choice for his starting home as he would have been "left" by his parents in a safe place and it would allow him to grow under the influence of good and Ohmea. (Also, it helps explain Exalted Wildshape).
-He is somewhat of a musician, plays the harp. I originally wanted to start off as a Bardic Druid (Fochlucan Lyrist), but opted to just play a straight Druid. So I'd like to represent some of that in him still.
-He is similar to a Romanticist poet. He finds the beauty of nature and can dwell on it, often speaks in flowing verse, and is difficult to upset. His bardic inclinations could be explain by possibly meeting a Centaur in Aleussa.
-He is currently searching the planes for natural beauty and also for his parents.

That's all I really have for now. Any ideas?

Any ideas on why your parents would have left you in Aleussa, or am I going to get to decide that as DM? I'd be more than happy to have it left open-ended.

Being a human in Aleussa is not extraordinarily common. Most of the creatures around you as you grew up were likely guardinals, good magical beasts, aasimars, and celestial animals. How does this affect how you view the not-so-nice aspects of your own race when you encounter them?

Oh, and Aleussa is better described as a garden paradise, not a city. There are perhaps scattered villages and towns, but nothing that could really be described as cities. People gather the abundant fruits and vegetables for food, and eating meat is very rare for those that live within the walls. Outside is an entirely different story however.

Other than that, this looks good. I can't wait to start the campaign.

I wouldn't know why my parents left as they left me when I was a child. Even if they "left" me. Who knows, maybe they met an unfortunate end. I think it'd be great if you based a mission or even campaign arc around it. Where we follow lead after lead to try to discover who my parents were. It could always be tied into something more sinister also.

I think that being a human in Aleussa, I'd be somewhat welcoming and unwary of humans. It'd be great to see other humans as I am not used to it. However, once they showed that they were not "good" creatures similar to all the celestial beings in Aleussa, I'd probably get aggrevated with them.

Oops. Sorry about calling it a city. I like the meat fact. It'd lead me to not want to eat animals (similar to a Druid). Also, as a child, I'd probably be a wanderer of Aleussa. Traveling from little village to village and from house to house, making many acquaintances of the denizens and never really settling down with any particular family or group.

Oh, one more thing, do you have a reason thought up for what you're doing in the city of Siderhaaf?

Not anything specific. So far it's only the whole search of natural beauty and my long lost parents.

Aleussa to Siderhaaf is quite a drop in beauty by most standards, but it could work with you just planning to make a short stay before moving on to either Thanassis or Ishandequetal, which are both more natural.

As for your parents, I think I have some ideas on how I want to work that into the campaign as it progresses, so for now you will know very little other than the fact that you were abandoned by them in a small human settlement within the paradise of Aleussa. Sound ok to you?
