| nerdor25701-27-07, 04:15 PM | My character is a great challenge to roleplay, since he was designed to fill the role of both divine and arcane spellcaster. The character is as follows: Name: Alexander Jaspar Race: Human Alignment: Lawful Evil Dragonfire adept 1/Wizard 4/Ur-Priest 2/Mystic theurge 8/Fatespinner 4/Wizard +1 At level twenty, this character will be able to cast 9th level arcane and divine spells. But myself being the powergamer I am, I went for power over story, and can't come up with a background for the character. Anyone out there like to give it a shot? |

Perhaps a cleric attempts to lure him into the faith with knowledge of what arcane magic can never achieve. Instead of being attracted he is revolted by the need to serve or such. Perhaps he was a demonologist, and the path of faith felt too similar to an infernal pact for his taste. |

His aptitude for draconic magic just makes him even more curious about what real power is like and he attempts to search more for that power. He studied magic and trained in wizardry because many of the texts are written in draconic, and he felt an affinity for that magic. As his quest for knowledge and power continued, and his knowledge of arcane magic increased, he started to grow tired of the study of arcana and turned his sights towards religious magic. However, not really believing in the gods, he searched for another path to divine magic, and that path came in the form of an Ur Priest who taught him how to siphon divine magic from the very gods themselves. After his training was over, he left to search how to become even more powerful and found it in the form of the mystic theurge and fatespinner PrCs... So long story short, wants power. |

Think, first he drew power from dragons, learned the dragons learned arcane power, studied that, learned that only the gods were more powerful than arcane might, then learns to balance arcane and divine, in hopes for more power, found that even fate binds the gods, so tried tinkering with it, and is returning to old basics. Power hungry, in an escalating chain of power. |

| TalinXT01-31-07, 02:34 PM | Arrogance, sheer unbridled arrogance. he doesn't think hes better then the gods he KNOWS hes better then the gods. The only real difference between himself adn those fools is that they have divine power adn e does no. thus he learns to steal that power, to draw it from them and use it to his own ends. His ambition is to oen da become a god, and frmo there become the greatest of the gods. HE will use any means necessary to achieve his goal even masterign fate himself inorder to discover the secret to true divinity . |
