DevilishGrin 12-14-05, 11:02 AM	My character is currently a 4th level fighter, which means he has a base attack bonus of +4. Now, I do intend on multi-classing him and I read the handbook on it describes if you get a +6 as a primary base attack bonus, you get a second attack at +1. As a quick reference, I'll include each class I intend on taking at which level: 5th level - cleric (so I am a 4th level fighter / 1st level cleric..base attack +4 ) 6th level - cleric (...4th level fighter / 2nd level cleric..base attack +5) 7th level - fighter (...5th level fighter / 2 level cleric..base attack +6 / +1 ?? or just base attack +6 ??) :confused: After that, I plan on taking the class initiate of the order of the bow. which adds a +1 at every level...so i if i am a +6 / +1, does that mean i am a +7 / +2 or is my attack bonus at +7 / +1, or simply just a +7. :confused: i think i read way too much into this, and only confused myself more, of course, my friends are giving me different answers too. any and all help would be greatly appreciated...thanks

Focus only on your BAB to determine your attack routine. As soon as your BAB becomes +6, you immediately gain a second attack at +1 regardless of where your BAB comes from. Remember, you only get the second attack when you use the full attack action. Examples: Bard 3/Fighter 5 BAB = +7/+2 Attacks = 1 Primary at +7 and one Secondary at +2 Rogue 2/Fighter 2/Barb 3 BAB = +6/+1 Attack = 1 Primary at +6 and 1 Secondary at +1 Does this help?
