Mathias Goldsheen
Half Gold Dragon Human Fighter 5/Paladin 2/Sword of Righteousness 3/Vassal of Bahamut 10

About 30 years ago, The Gold Dragon Mishoran fell in love with her companion, a human wizard by the name of Malachai Goldsheen. Neither knew that withing 10 years, they would have a son. Mathias Goldsheen was born to loving parents who wanted the best for him. Mother and father were both smart enough to teach him everything he would need to know. The young boy loved knowledge, but it felt strange to him that quest for knowledge should be the direction his life would lead him in. He was always bigger and stronger than his peers, but he would never dream of harming them. His parents detailed to him how to live well and treat others kindly. Mother was an ardent supporter of Bahamut. From an early age, Mathias was taught about the good Bahamut brings, and that Bahamut will help you if you ask.

It is now the 20th anniversary of Mathias' birth. Thanks to some financial assistance from his parents, Mathias is leaving the small mountain town he resides in wearing some armor and weilding a scythe. He was trained privately by his mother, and when she could teach him no more, hired a friend of hers to assist the son that had given her such joy. Father is now old and retired, using some of his simplest tricks to amuse the youngsters of the town. Mother has done little in the way of adventuring since she retired 25 years previously, but she is always talking about leaving retirement. Mathias is promising to return annually, if he can, to visit and tell stories of his adventures.

Mishoran and Malachai, along with their friends, helped found the village. It is small, but incredibly diverse. Even some of the parents have had trouble measuring up in contests of strentgh against their children, especially Mathias. He is, in his own right, the toughest second generation adventurer known in the area. In foreign areas, Mathias always attracts attention. Usually its the gold scales on his skin, sometimes it is from admirers of his golden eyes.

Mathias has a set goal for his adventuring life. He wishes to bring glory to the name of Bahamut, and to uphold the virues espoused to him by his parents. Mathias has sworn his obedience to Bahamut, hoping to bring justice to its transgressors and goodness and hope to the hearts of those without. All he wants is to help spread the word of good and the virtues found within goodness.

Few others can relate to the half dragon heritage Mathias possesses. He is unique in his village, and certainly of a rare ilk elsewhere. Mathias always tries to lighten the mood with a joke, but he just doesn't always tell the joke just right. He can't help it, he's just not made to tell jokes, but he will always try, hoping do become better at it. He is a little supicious, and will try to assess a person adequately before agreeing to any requests, although help requests lower his suspicions a bit.

Mathias reasons that his goodness will guide him, nudged a bit by Bahamut's will. Of course, only Mathias knows what he will do, but it is quite obvious by his words that he wishes to spread goodness and order. He wishes to be able to increase his effectiveness in this goal, and will do his best to learn new techniques that will help him in that endeavor.

If you want to know more, I'll add more if I can think of any. If you ask about certain features of him, I'll do my best to add something aboout them. I just can't finish right now because I have to get off the computer.
