I need help on something. I'm pretty sure we've all had or known someone who has had this experience. Basically, I have the image of a character in mind--mainely, I see what he's supposed to look, act, and fight like--but I don't know exactly how to put mechanics to him. I know I want to aim for a level from one to five when I make him. Assuming you feel like helping (thanks btw), I'll post the stuff in parts to make it easier.

---

-APPEARANCE-
Standing at five foot ten and having a slim yet athletically toned build, he is a young human male. He's pale skinned, and has angular features similar to those of a half-elf. His eyes are out of the ordinary, being a violet, almost lavender color, which may denote an old line to an elven ancestor. His hair is a dark brown, appearing to be black when not in exceptionally good lighting or close inspection on a bright day, which he keeps rather natural, falling about his head and occasionally needing to be brushed away from his face. One distinguishing feature about him is that he has a dark, hairline scar running over his right eye, starting at the base of his hairline and ending midway down his cheek.

-ATTIRE AND ARMOR-
Apparently perferring black to the various other colors available to him, the young man dresses simply and in a sort of garb which may denote that he is a mourner or widower. A snug, turtleneck-style shirt, closed leather vest, leather gloves, leather belt, trousers and high leather boots make up the bulk of his usual attire, with a hooded long coat made from soft leather worn over the ensemble in cold or stormy weather. He does not appear to wear much in the line of armor; a pair of vambraces and a pair of greaves with solarets on his boots being the whole of his protection.

-WEAPONRY AND COMBAT STYLE-
The young man only carries one weapon; a longsword. This blade is sheathed at his left hip, and he fights using it alone. His combat style tends to be a very fluid and almost showy style: Elaborate parries, leaps, tumbles and charges with the blade being performed, while the swordsman spins, sweeps about, and knocks his opponent off-guard. He does not tend to ambush or outnumber his enemies if he has the chance; instead, he perfers to make himself known and strike them all down as quickly as possible, whether alone or with a large group. Either way, he has trained himself to be swift, deadly, and fluent in the language of swordplay.

-PERSONALITY AND TRAITS-
The young man is quiet, and a bit of a loner by the looks of things. Perfering to enter combat by himself, perform his duties on his own, and generally live by himself, he often finds himself walking a very lonely road. It would also seem that while he chooses solitude and exile, he does not enjoy it; All too common does he find himself secretly hoping that somebody manages to get stuck him on his travels.

Well, there you have what I came up with.

Sounds like an interesting character, perhaps any of the classes from ToB are what your looking for (im not up to date, but i think a swordsage or warblade would be most appropriate)

If you were going normal rules, perhaps scout, ninja or ranger.

I don't really own ToB, so either way I can't use it. ^^;

I'm gonna check the scout and ninja out, see if either of those fit my idea mechanically.

It sounds to me like a Swashbuckler/duelist or something like that.

Swashbuckler definitely. with max ranks in tumble, sleight if hand, and some other skills.

cept longsword doesn't weapon finesse i think, maybe a ranger wold be cool for him or straight fighter the best choice.

I was looking at it, and maybe get fighter, and then make him a dervish or something later?

Hexblade?

His dour mood could be tied to his curse ability... perhaps he's learnt to control the emotions that are overwhelming him and force them onto others... or something.

...I love you. I am definately using hexblade instead of fighter now. :3

I also need to be making his backstory, so Hexblade would let me get the story done easier because it gives a certain motivation to him.
