I need a God [Archive] - Wizards Community

11-12-03, 07:33 PM Ok just to let you know i play NWN and right now i'm playing around with the idea of having a Paladin that is a Fiendhunter...so all i want to know is do ant of you know any God in D&D that would have a Fiendhunter-Paladin?

11-12-03, 08:57 PM It depends... what campaign setting are you using?

In Greyhawk, I would say Heironeous (God of Valor) or maybe St. Cuthbert (God of retribution)

If it's Forgtten Realms, I' say Tyr.

If it's something else, I have no clue.

But, just remmember that (1) a paladin does not have to have a god at all, and (2) the god you follow does not necissarily determine your character. (I could see a feind-hunter who followed a god of mercy, for example)

11-12-03, 09:27 PM If this character is for Neverwinter Nights, definitely go with Tyr - the story focusses in aprt upon his Paladins/clergy.

Although, in NWN your choice of deity really has no effect

If you are a dwarf try Glageddin Silverbeard, they have ever a spell that gives you a silver beard (+2 AC)

Helm LN: Paladin protector of the weak

Sune CG: Beautiful Paladin, fights against the ugly (Demons are very ugly)

Azut LN: Paladin of magic, try to stop those who use the magic for evil.

Kelevnor LN: Fights against those who advoid the death.

Tyr LG: Paladin of the Justice

Torm LG: Paladin of the Obedience

ilmatter LG: Paladin in pain, try to advoid the suffering of others.

11-14-03, 10:55 PM You really can`t be a paladin of more than one god. Sure, you could convert your religon, but that`s tricky stuff and Torm and Tyr are very similer so there wouldn`t be much point.
