i need flavor to savor! [Archive] - Wizards Community

04-08-06, 10:37 PM Im working on a character for my next game and i need help working up backstory and character for him. So here are the basics of the character. Hes a true neutral male whisper gnome, who is a rogue/wizard. I want him to be a quiet sort of character seeing as his charisma isn't excessivly high. Hes going to use a light crossbow as his main weapon other then spells. Other then those retrictions flavor and story ideas are up to you. Thanks in advance for you contributions :)

04-09-06, 11:05 PM Not up on Whisperer gnomes, I'll throw out some ideas.

He was a wizard, but was (possibly) falsely busted in a cheating scandel. He took everything that wasn't nailed down in revenge. He had several loans to pay back from his school days, so he took to crime/ adventuring.

Used to be picked on by a half elf bully, so he has a dislike of the race.

Has an bard drinking buddy.

Very proud of his mustache/ beard.

Lousy sense of direction.

That's all I got for now; hopefully more later.

04-11-06, 09:51 AM He could be extremely fond of pranks, though it may be pretty standard for gnomes. I persume you are going to be an arcane trickster, which will give you even more abilities to play pranks on fellow party members/ NPCs.

A low charisma doesn't equal to quiet or silent. He can be quite talkative, but extremely annoying.

You say he is TN. What kind of TN? The typical druidic "concerned with the balance of all", the typical human commoner who doesn't care about anything, or the two mix of both: concerned with the balance of law & chaos, but doesn't care about good & evil, or the reverse...

Are Whisper Gnome as "engineering" as the common gnomes? He could end up using a Repeating Light Crossbow...
