We are starting a new campaign in a homebrew world. The world is a very low arcane magic setting, and dragons are nearly extinct, due to professional dragonslayers. There are only chromatic dragons.

Thus far, the DM has allowed my character to be a dragonwrought kobold (heritage: green) scout with the quick trait and vulnerable flaw (from Unearthed Arcana). The DM is very hesitant to allow my character to gain Dragon Wings, but may allow it at 3rd level. Hopefully he will allow it, as it will come into play in the character's background and personality. I can get around it if I have to, but I think it will be more interesting if he has wings.

Here is what I have so far, but I will have to get DM's approval:

As a wyrmling, Tr'kalak was in a tribe that served the Great Wyrm Green Dragon Charok. From the time he hatched, he was regarded as special, due to the green tint of his skin. Tr'kalak often was called on to serve their master, who was pleased with Tr'kalak's quickness. On the 8th anniversary of his hatching, he was honored to wait upon Charok in the Great Wyrm dragon's lair. While he was there a group of hired dragonslayers entered and engaged in battle with Charok. Tr'kalak's cowardice sent him hiding, trying not to be seen, and he was soon cut off from escaping to bring kobold reinforcements. Though the dragon fought hard, killing several of the men, they were too powerful, and Charok died. The dragonslayers took what they could carry of the hoard. Still hidden, Tr'kalak watched in shock as they took proof of their success: one of Charok's toes. They then further desecrated the body, removing teeth and scales as "souvenirs." Tr'kalak was then left alone with his master's desecrated body. After several hours of sitting in shock, Tr'kalak left the lair the same way the dragonslayers had gone.

Feeling tormented and confused, Tr'kalak sought revenge for his master. He had already felt a close kinship with Charok, and the shock of seeing his master slaughtered before his eyes affected his reasoning. Tr'kalak began to believe he was a dragon.

I will also need help with an alternate background in case the DM doesn't want to allow the psychospecies disorder in the game. Also, I could use some help fleshing out the story so it is more readable.

One more question: does the psychospecies disorder affect alignment?

It is a feat available to kobolds, found in Races of the Dragon. Basically, it means that the kobold is more similar to dragons than others of its race.

If you're associated with a green dragon, is this kobold evil? That's a kinda important question. If all dragons are inherently evil in this world, the kobold probably is, too. Or at least has cognitive dissonance.

If so, being a revenge-oriented character would be easy. You adventure to clean the face of the world from the two-legged rats that have made such a mess of everything; long-term goals include working for the new Dragon Emperor and being able to intimidate human adventurers so well that they go home and fight no more.

And what's wrong with a dragonwrought kobold believing he's a dragon? They're eligible for things like the feats in the first half of the Draconomicon. My own dragon-kobold regularly accesses the dragon racial memories. If it's a matter of DM taste, that's fine.
