| AustrianOak04-20-04, 10:19 AM | I find that when people ask me questions about my characters, it helps me develop them. How did he become a wizard? What did his parents/friends/community think of it? Did his relationships change afterwards? What races/kinds of people does he like/dislike? Favorite foods/hobbies? Bad habits? Physical characteristics(again flaws can be good) Do his physical characteristics effect his personality or the way people treat him? Does he have a job? What does he want to be when he "grows up?" Where has he traveled to? Where does he still want to go? What are this thoughts on politics, money, and religion? Is he passive, passive agressive, assertive, agressive? What are his insecurities? |

| LiXinjian04-22-04, 09:49 AM | We also need info to springboard off of, too! Perhaps you could start by telling us what kind of wizard you'd like to play (Blaster mage, utility, illusionist, etc), or tell us what spells you'd like to cast ("Man, that Locate Object spell really rocks!!"), or what your character looks like. It is important that you take this first step and give us a minimum of info, because you'll be the one playing this character. It has to be based on something that's part you, even if that something is only your fear of spiders, your fondness for goo or whatever. Speaking of which, an oozy, Ghaunadaur-worshipping wizard is a concept that could work. With acid spells (perhaps an Elemental Savant?) and a pletora of other spells duplicating oozes, puddings and amorpheous creatures and their abilities, you'd have a character. Of course, he probably wouldn't be NG... |
