Zombayz1 04-18-07, 11:09 PM	I'm just here asking if any of you had an idea for an Human ex-Paladin 5/Blackguard 6. Just asking for ideas, I'm trying to actually get a decent backstory for once. His weapon: Archonbreaker, a +1 vicious, wounding, brutal surge fullblade. The huge weapon, well over 10 feet long, gained it's name when a hit from it sent an Archon through a portal to the Abyss, giving Tiamat, his newly found Queen, a uncorrupted treat. Also, his armor: Demonmaw, +4 spiked pitspawned full plate. This fearsome armor gained it's name when it was pulled from the gullet of a Red Dragon. And yeah, that's all I got. Stories for his weapons and armor. So, got any more ideas?

Bloody fullblade, complicating everything >.< Edit: an increase in height could be arranged if I can find a bloody wizard to permanency an Enlarge person spell on me... Then again, my weapon would be even bigger then...
MikEye 04-18-07, 11:44 PM	I think you can simply make it that he broke the paladin code for his own self gain... and was stripped of his powers... without work he could have been a mercenary taking any job and eventualy found the way of the black guard, something like that could work
Terjon of the Blue Rose 04-20-07, 01:42 AM	He didn't know the history of his weapon when he took it off a dead blackguard. When he learned of it later he was so enthralled by its power that he refused to give it up even at the direct command of his god.
jnrhayz 04-20-07, 10:50 AM	Well, this is just off the top of my head, but here goes... When you were young you lived within the confines of a medium city. Your father a priest and your mother a stay at home mom. Your birth was fortold as a great sign and that your destiny would be very important to the future of the city. Your combat skills were unmatched at any level and you quickly rose within the warrior ranks of your chosen diety. During this time you fell in love with a beautiful prietess and were married. You would go on quests for your faith and return to your beautiful bride. Soon she was pregnant and you had twin children. You left on a quest to serve your god. When you returned you learned of a great fire that killed everyone in your family. You knew that if you were there you could have saved them and you forsworn your oath to your god for allowing this to happen. You left the city and wandered in the wilderness. You were on the verge of death when you were taken in by an old man. He nursed you back to health and also nursed your hatred. Eventually he taught you of his god (an evil diety) and you nutured your anger and hatred and devoted yourself to this new god. Your final test was to retrieve these great artifacts and then return to the city of your birth and conquer it. At this point, that could be your driving goal, or you could have already done it. Your choice, but you get where I am going with all this I hope.
Zombayz1 04-20-07, 11:35 AM	jrnhayz, that's an awesome idea, on so many levels. I'm going to replace one thing though... 'Old Man' will become 'Demon Lord'... Only because the party is already racing against a Demon Lord who's invading the Material Plane... They're collecting Artifacts to keep from him....
MikEye 04-20-07, 04:03 PM	at first someone who was just part of a good church probably would not be so fast to accept a demon lord. Maybe a demon lord taking the shape of an old man would be cool and practical
