| Imizael A Everbright01-16-04, 11:03 AM | So, in a campaign I am playing in, I assume that I will die soon. You see, I am a CN Sun Elf Ninja/Fighter/Guild Thief, and I am the main frontliner in the party. I don't have a very high AC, and don't have many hit points. I will probably die. When I die, I start new characters. So, I'm thinking, playing a little kid, or a drow trying to be good, but lacking some nicer instincts, such as mercy. Any ideas will be appreciated. | sculyblast01-16-04, 12:34 PM | what about a player dwarf (you know the kind that is after females all the time) with a lack of disipline, so walkes away from battle when it starts to get boring |
| Nimzz01-17-04, 09:41 PM | how about playing a really really evil drow wizard who tries his best to pretend to be good but fails in doing thing like stealing treasure...i personaly like to play an evil drow with a good party... i think thats it lots of fun to manipulate the party into thinking that im a reformed drow and letting me hold the party treasure... hehe |
| wellofworlds01-21-04, 12:56 AM | Play a drow druid, or a drow monk that came to realize that the way to evil is self destructive. So you have found a new path to follow in life. |
| Morka01-21-04, 08:16 AM | Play a race with a natural claw attack and usually evil, but this character try to be good. In his mind, fighting with the claws is evil. He is a monk, and must concentrate to hit with the fists instead of the claws. He is LN, with good tendencies, he knows what someone of good alignment does because of high wisdom, but it is not natural for him to do so. For the race, discuss with your DM, I would suggest a tiefling; since you somewhat "swear" to not use your claws, you could have very little penalties for having this. |
| TranquilDarkness01-21-04, 08:26 AM | Continuing on the naturally evil, but trying to be good line; you could go for the half-ogre. Since your party also seems to lacking a true warrior.. Not grasping the concept of mercy would fit perfectly. Having a half-ogre smashing something with a strength of, oh I don't know..say 20; and then having him standing still, looking at the smear on the floor; followed by a weakly murmured 'oopsie'.. Yup, might be fun. |
| Imizael A Everbright01-21-04, 01:33 PM | First, I don't play restrictive alignments like LN or TN. Mostly I play CN, because you can be good, or bad, it doesn't matter. CN allows you to say, I felt like it, or whatever. Now, I think I have completely changed my idea. I'm thinking a very intelligent, strong, and charismatic rapier fighter. Maybe a Swashbuckler (Complete Warrior) or an Unfettered (Monte Cook's Arcana Unearthed), either of these classes would be good for that. I also think that I'll use weapon finesse, even if it doesn't help, because it makes sense with a rapier. My character would probably be CG, because he would be a nice guy. I also need to know some region of Faerun that is a desert, but not inherently Arabic in nature. I would like this character to be a human commoner (not the class, but the social class) from a non-Arabic desert region. He would be fearless, and selfsure, but not really arrogant. More like when you know you can do something and you really can. He would also try to dress and act like a noble, despite being very unrefined. What do you guys think? Hugs and Chaos, I. A. | Rhomdruil01-21-04, 04:01 PM | Want a challenge start a commoner, then pick up the Survivalist PrC, that should provide plenty of RP oppurtunities. Give him/her a quirk or two and your fellow players will never forget the character no matter how short lived it is. |
