_Render_ 08-15-07, 04:55 AM	Ok, so I had somewhat of an 'unoriginal' idea for my current character. I was tired of hearing about two weapon fighting all the time from my dm and alot of the builds he was telling me about, so I decided to make a dex fighter based around a swashbuckler. But around 8th level or so I watched advent children and thought that the one sleeve covering a lame arm thing would be cool for flavor. However, that wasn't cliche enough for me so I decided to rip off a few animes like trigun and inuyasha (Which I'm not a fan of the latter) and make the left hand some kind of sooper secret weapon. Flipping through the PG to Faerun, I found the spell Claws of darkness. Anywho, the point to all this was to ask if anyone knew how to make that spell permanent, and on only one hand, or if there was anything similarly devastating that I could use once in a great while.
Fithero 08-16-07, 06:23 AM	There is the Psionic Sinew in the back of the Fiend Folio, its a symbiont. Basically this worm like thing sits in your arm and causes bone like claws to shoot out the tops of your fingers, the rest of it travels up your arm and connects to your shoulder. It lets you do d12+str slashing damage and gives +4 str and +4 inertial armor, this thing is actually sentinent though... so it might have its own opinions. Could make for an interesting character, sort of like D from Vampire Hunter D, with that parasite in his hand. Hope this helps some, good idea too. Peace
